Can Rivera change your mind about firing him...

Would the following things make you change your mind about axing Ron...

1) the team goes on an extended winning streak, finishes at .500

2)Ron shows more emotion on the sidelines, maybe accidentally spits on some players while screaming at them...

3)Ron shelves the ludicrous read option and our backs start earning those millions...

Just a few off the top of my head... am sure you guys can add some of your own

You guys kill me with "more emotion on the sidelines". Ever gotten a look at Belichick? Who gives a poo about that. All that matters is winning.

And to be honest I think that is the only thing that will keep a New GM from coming in and keeping him. New GM typically wants his own guys. I don't see us getting to a 7-9/8-8 or better, but if it happens, then we're talking. Until then it doesn't really matter.

Absolutely. I don't need to see him screaming or spitting. I want to see the team look prepared. I want to see him show effective clock management. I want to see good adjustments week to week.

There are many things I like about Ron and it would be great to see him succeed. Based on what we've seen so far though, it is not highly likely that he can improve enough in 10 games to save his job. He just has not been well prepared in his former stints to excel as a HC in this league.

He's earned my trust back after having watched his last two pressers. The one today was more telling. The true test comes Sunday, and if we can suddenly find ourselves offensively against the League's best Defense... Well then... I think that it will speak for itself

I have some friendly advice for you. Don't trust his presser's, your setting yourself up for major dissapointment.

    • Mel Kiper said he would retire if Jimmy Clausen wasn't a successful NFL starter too. Just because the experts make a claim doesnt mean it's true either.  Bryce may be a serviceable QB for someone. Serviceable QBs don't bring you a perennial winner or lead you to the playoffs over and over. Serviceable QBs also dont get 50m plus per year deals which is what a Bryce extension would look like.  The stats show he hasn't been even a serviceable QB in the 3 years he's been here. The eye test shows he hasn't put together 2 franchise QB salary games back to back in 3 years.  Complain all you want about people being negative, but people pointing out that Bryce is held to a different standard than anyone else on the team isn't complaining. It's stating the obvious.
    • We have big bodied WRs and 3 TEs who all have potential and each bring something different to the table. I never saw the need to go out there and try and find a new starting TE.  While it's nice to have a guy like McBride, Bowers, etc, I think a team's better use of the cap is by having TEs on rookie contracts or cheap vets, not having to pay elite TE money.
    • He had the award until like the last 8 games. He sucked ass and flagg had 3 40 point games
