Is it me or does it seem like out of all 3 coaches, his job is the least one in jeopardy at this moment. I remember when we wanted his head, but one thing I like about him is he seem to be very passionate about what he do. He's also the youngest, he's not even 40 yet and has energy I only dream Rivera would have. He'll make adjustments if something isn't working the best. I do however tend to wonder if it was his decision would he choose Martin over Nakamura, cause I know that's a Rivera call

If that's the case the question should be .. why did he take so long?

Idk. I think it was after the Giants game. We gave up an opening scoring drive every game to that point. We haven't gave up one since. We're also #6 in redzone D. IIRC. So id say he's had more of a role since week 4. We aren't giving up a lot of points BUT it seems we're always giving up the late game winnig drive.

Last year when everyone was ready to hang him, and even early this year, it seemed to me people didn't give him a fair shake. Too many assumed that just because he got run out of Philly, he was no good. He was a scapegoat there just like Castillo.

I'm not ready to anoint him as a savior, but he has been the least of our problems.

I agree that it took too long, but as a leader you have to give subordinates a chance to do their job before you step in and take over... I suspect McDermott won't be around much longer.

    • https://www.drafttek.com/NFL-Trade-Value-Chart.asp Going by this chart that won’t get it done, at all.  both of our 5th rounders are worth 56, total.    The 51st is valued at 390. Moving to 41 takes 100 points. In the second where we are, it is basically 10 points per slot. You can get in front of TB for 60 points. Baltimore at 45.  Which who would do that for 56 points? You are on a wing and a prayer.    To realistically have a good shot at these top guys, outside of Golday, it is gonna take at least 100 points, I am thinking.  And when they go, Golday’s market probably gets a lot hotter.  Just going by the rankings/valuations, I am thinking if you realistically want to assure you get your guy it will take trading back in the first. Which is why I have been saying to do that if we can.  For example 19 is valued at 875. 21 is 800. That, plus one of the 5ths gets you to 100 points which you theoretically could use to get to 41.    I think there are going to be several good options for us at 19, if we are good with taking what is left at 21-23 we can get a good player plus fund a trade up for one of these LBs which is what I am thinking makes sense.
    • Alabama money line is a big one.
    • I'm just letting everyone know he's on the list in the second tier, not that I think it gets there because Donovan wants the job.  UNC is waiting on Lloyd and Arizona's run to end, if that doesn't work out then Donovan is likely the new head coach.
