Idonije hasn't played DT since 2009 and that was a part time player. Debatable if he is good enough against the running game and isn't exactly a world beater at getting to the QB.

I also don't get this obsession with trading players randomly. Why are you trading Steve Smith and then picking up Greg Jennings in free agency when that would give you a cap hit and then an even higher paid player? Your net loss in cap space for those two moves would criple you. Add in that Jennings will be 30 next season...

Same with Beason, yes his $$$ is high, but the guy is coming off two IRs and the teams sniffing around for him won't be willing to part with much. Keuchly has made a great start to his career but Beason has already proven to be a very good player on the outside. I guess this could be more down to what Beason wants than anything else.

A lot of work put in it but look like not a lot of thought.

Dwill for a 6th?

Why Warford and Smith so early? Better prospect could stil be on the board. And I think it's time we quit drafting WR after the 2nd rounds and acting like they're going to be elite one day.

Theres no way we're hitting FA that powerful ever with three legit signings. And when did Jennimg become affordable?

I change my mind, hire Hurney back and make him the rightful heir to my Panther throne. I resign making Hurney the President, GM, and Owner.

2013 Draft:

We trade future picks up to the year 2025 to acquire 4 additional 1st rounders

1(1) - Star Lotulelei

1(2) - Geno Smith

1(3) - Sam Montgomery

1(4) - Terrance Williams

Trade Cam to Dallas for DeMarcus Ware, Mike Jenkins and an another additional 1st rounder (also a 2014 1st rounder)...

1(5) - DeMarcus Milliner

2014:

1 - Jadeveon Clowney

Re-sign Nakamura and Sherrard Martin

Hire Jake Delhomme as HC and we got dis

    • People are using this "three year period" to gloss over the reality that he was very mid last year and in Purdy's case, "last year" means 40% of his starts. I don't "hate" Purdy, I just think he's a very middle of the pack starter and you can't pay those guys $50M+ a year. GMs and coaches can because they just want to keep their jobs. But as a fanbase if you're wanting to compete for SBs, ugh... you're basically resigning yourself to mediocrity with decisions like this.
    • Unless a miracle happens and we're legit SB contenders, I want to just miss the playoffs due to some close losses, not win the division to lose in the first round. We finally have all of our picks again next year, I'd rather be picking 5-7 spots higher in each round, while at the same time, then having a 2nd or 3rd place schedule next year instead of a 1st place one. I just can't see any scenario where we are true contenders this year, but we should find out if Bryce can be our QB of the future.  If he isn't, then we're not making the playoffs anyways and will have a high pick to replace him.  If he is, it means 2026 is the real opening of our SB window once we add some more defensive pieces, so I'd rather go into that season picking earlier and have an easier schedule. And yes, I know people will say think like "you need to win to gain confidence and experience, blah blah blah" But just missing out on the playoffs because you lost couple close games is certainly a way to make a team hungry going into the offseason and keep them motivated to be better. I've said it before and still think it holds true, we need to look at the Lions and hope to repeat their path. Our last few years were their early 2020s when they sucked.  This year can be our version of their 2022 when they missed the playoffs in week 17.  Then our 2026 can be their 2023 when they made a run to the NFC Championship game (and really should have won it).  Which then puts us in line to be one of the best teams in the league going into 2027, as they were last year.
    • Hmmmmm, sounds like a familiar fear And sure, a big part of my fear was the injury concern (that will always follow Bryce around) but the everything else I said is the same. If he's too good to let walk in FA but not good enough to justify a top end contract, we're in the worst possible situation
