A few more G Hardy nuggets

As seen in another post, Hardy is having an outstanding year. We all didn't expect much from him- maybe that is our secret to success! Here are some some notable stats:

13th in EPA/G- Players impact on the score of the game directly (CJ 18th)

6th in Tackles (CJ 17th)

6th in Sacks (CJ Tied)

8th in TFL (CJ 45th)

Also factor that he only played 6 games opposed to most DE's with 8 or 7. CJ was in all 7.

Actually Dwan Edwards is one of the top 15 DT's.. Our corner play is middle of the pack, linebackers as a core are top 10.. Now our safeties just blow unicorns. Naka is a joke, Godfrey is a hair above serviceable..

I think Dwan will be the only DT on the squad now, that will be with the team next year.

you know there was a good few college scouting re: hard i remember reading that said the reason for hardy's drop in production his last year at ole miss and some of the reason for JPP's success was because OLs had to roll so much protection over to hardy's side.

hardy was projected to be a really early draft pick had he come out in '09.

    • When we have everyone playing like they should, we can win the Cup. That has been the biggest problem when we get to the playoffs, but this year seems to be fixed mostly. We could have had multiple if we had done this in the past.
    • Here we go Bryce Stan’s you should love this. Hell it may be one of you.  It has every cliche excuse and then some.  Unintentionally hilarious my limit was reached when he said Bryce had it hard because four play callers.
    • Luke goes in to the specifics of what he looked to accomplish in joint practices.  Basically they may work with someone on the opposing team to stress something they feel is a weakness in their own game in a different way that can be done with someone they are familiar with. That they can have predetermined stresses but since neither wants to get injured and it has absolutely no bearing on anything there is not the level of concern that would be in a preseason game.  He would also even chat with opposing OC.   It seems like an interesting nuance among the vets and savy pros.
