Smh Again? Panthers to LA? On espn

We have 1 thing that LA wants for revenue that Jacksonville doesn't have. His name is Cam Newton. That is why these rumors exist. Without Cam, this story never even comes close to making ESPN.

Not true. These rumors wouldn't be public if Richardson wasn't looking for money from the city. But he's a business man and knows how to get leverage. It has nothing to do with Cam.

Cam makes the Panthers the best option for LA. He would be a dream come true for them; the next Kobe for that city.

If they got the Jaguars or Bucs they'd have to build from scratch. With the Panthers they'd get some excitement from day 1.

Not going to happen, there are many reasons for it not happening it's just that we aren't doing that great this year so we are going to get thrown in for the hell of it.

Reasons

1) today is the 100th straight sell out

2) NC is the 10th Largest state in US by population in effect making us the 10th biggest possible fan base(and if you include SC we're top 5)

3) The Panthers have a stadium that is paid for

4) The Panthers have been in Charlotte for 17 years and nearing the magical 20 year mark, if you are wondering why that is important, it's the first generation of Panthers fans that have only known the Panthers, no Redskin/Cowboy/Falcons prior loyalties just born and raised Panthers fans and that makes a difference.

and these are just reasons off the top of my head

teams like the Chargers, Raiders or Jaguars are far more likely to be moved anywhere before the Panthers are, Chargers and Raiders need new stadiums an extra expensive because they are in CA and the Jags haven't sold out a game in forever.

The NFL is not going to tell us who is moving before they do because they want fans to continue to support the team before they are moved, but I would say at this point its a done deal that the Jag are moving, and about a 30% chance the Chargers move and a 10% the Raiders move.

    • in starts, he has played better, been more efficient and outproduced Bryce by virtually every statistical metric that exists in 2025.  And has the 2 head to heads over Carolina.  I mean, your jaw should hit the floor.  But not for the reason you are implying.  That freaking stings.  Denying these realities isn't going to help the Panthers build a better team going forward.
    • He is basically having a polar opposite rookie season than Bryce. 4-3 as a starter on a very bad team.  68% for 237 passing yards and 19 rush per game. 9 TDs,  6 TOs in his starts.  and folks acknowledge the surprisingly play because no one thought poo of the random 2nd rounder and he is player better as a rookie thus far than so many prized picks did as a rookies (not just Bryce but a boatload of dudes).   It's only a sour issue to give someone props because he is a Saint and of course the Bryce thing.  It's like giving the TE in Clev props for having near identical production as the chosen one Tyler Warren.  Fannin is having a great rookie season in a very bad spot.
    • This is a very weird take. The reason Shough doesn't deserve it is because he's only started 7 games. He's doing crazy well for a rookie and out playing plenty of vets with a worse roster. He's waaay above league average in a number of categories during his starts and he passes the eye test in game by making plays. Meanwhile Bryce Young had one of the worst rookie seasons of all time. Still TMac deserves it more. It's only been 7 games for Shough so he doesn't deserve any awards. Even if he gets to 9 he doesn't.
