Nice Newton quote.

He does need to get the ball out faster, and have better pocket presence. Look at how quickly the ball came out of Peyton's hands. The reason for that is Peyton correctly read our defense pre-snap, and Peyton always anticipates his passes. Cam is always waiting for a guy to come open, and his footwork stinks. (Which is why his passes are not always accurate)

I blame a lot of Cam's struggles this year on the coaches, and that much is very true. Yet there should be something within him that says 'Man, I need to improve as a passer'. We should be seeing that desire inspite of the coaching by now, and I'm not seeing it. Today is the first time where I'm wondering Cam might not be our franchise QB. I could give two cents for his athletic ability, if you can't throw the ball in this league with accuracy and anticipation, you won't ever do anything.

"This is the same offensive line that did an excellent job a lot of times today, so I'm not thrashing them." Newton said. "... I think personally I have to do a better job of getting the football out, getting it to my outlets."

Newton looked a little humbled today. He may be ready to turn the corner....

He has been reading my posts.

Ball cant come out quicker when EVERY route takes 4 seconds to develop. Ever heard of a route tree chud?

There were lots of open receivers today well within 3 seconds. Cam is very slow in his progressions, needs faster decision making.

A three step drop would be nice. Tired of 5-7 step drops.

    • Nobody on the huddle is saying we have an elite group offensively across the board. They aren't great. They're young. If you are expecting someone to agree with your position of blaming everyone around Bryce Young nearly three full seasons into his career you are going to be left holding the bag save for a handful of people who act like they are paid to defend his honor. Bryce Young is not a guy who has had to claw and fight his way into starting jobs in football. He's had the best to work with and been gifted roles since he was a teenager. The Panthers have one of the youngest rosters in the league and with us needing an infusion of young defensive talent in the upcoming draft we're only going to get younger. We need a QB who possesses the ability to elevate those around him. If you can't agree with me on that then there's nothing further to discuss.
    • All Bryce and the Panthers had to do was split with the Saints and a rookie QB. The bar was so low. They even had a whole bye week to prepare. The time for singing kumbaya was before that game. Anyone still talking about Bryce earning a second contract 43 games into his career is living a fantasy. He might get one from the Tepper owned Panthers but he's damn sure not earned it.
