Should we keep Rivera for another Season?

the Cam on the shelf stuff just isn't going to happen, it's good talk fodder for those that do it for a living or have nothing better to talk about but it's just not going to happen.

people believe that it won't happen, just like people believe there's no way in hell rivera stays another season.

i believe that all bets are off with a new gm.

nothing would surprise me.

here's the thing I agree, but argue why you think he should go or stay?

Well by last years end I would've said we found our coach. But at this point we have 18 losses and 8 wins under Rivera. 14 of those losses are by 7 points or less. It seems that this team is like a balloon filled to to point of bursting (potential), but the coach doesn't have the capasity to push it to the bursting point. IMO RR just doesn't have the ability to get the best from all his players and for that reason, he must go.

not only should we not keep rivera another season he should be fired effective 3 weeks ago.

His game management is terrible. The fact that he allowed chud to wait until the season was effectively scuttled to make even the most minor adjustments to the offense is offensive. The fact that he called a timeout that allowed another team to put points on the board that otherwise would not have been is unforgivable. The fact that he can't seem to shoulder any blame for the seasons issues to this point is poor leadership.

Its mind boggling to me that a team can beat us by running the same 6 times in a row, but we never repeat play calling that is successful. This coaching staff constantly out thinks itself. They seem to think they can gimmick themselves into a good team.

If John fox played not to lose Rivera is playing not to win. and you can quote me on that.

I think not. Keeping anything around from this season is probably a bad decision. The cancer of losing needs to be cut from charlotte and in this case taking the leg to make sure you get the bad toe is acceptable.

I would keep Luke, Greg, Cam, Norman, CJ, and Smitty.

Everyone else down to the concessions staff are expendable IMO. F-ck 'em all.

Pretty sure one of the first questions in the gm interviews will be regarding our offense, and if Cam isn't in that plan I doubt they will even proceed. Richardson won't hear that noise.

Where are we going to find the cap room to sign a decent QB anyhow?

Unless you think Derek Anderson is the answer and if so well I am concerned for you.

    • Over previous years? Sure is 😆
    • An odd little vibe I've noticed here of late: some folks are "all or nothing" to an absolutely extreme level when it comes to Bryce. Here's a bit of truth telling though: There are, in fact, things Bryce does well. Likewise, there are areas in which he's improved over his time here. He has, on several occasions now, legitimately helped us win games. On the flipside, there have been failures in other areas as well as coaching that we're not in any way his fault.  And finally , it is also genuinely possible that the team may see him as the future, even if we don't. The craziest part, though? It's actually possible that they're right and we're wrong. All of this is true, and more, yet if you accept any of these premises people go from zero to apesh-t in under three seconds 😳 Anything less than total disavowal of Bryce and / or agreement that he's the worst QB of all time and suddenly you're a "stan". Oy 🙄 The reality though?  Bryce is indeed an NFL quarterback. Not a great one, probably backup level good, and I've seen way worse. Now, if you run that statement through your personal Google translator and it comes back with some version of "I want to throw 50 million a year at Bryce for the next 10 years", that's not really my issue it's yours  I don't wanna make him the franchise quarterback, but it's not my call. Win or lose, the team is going to do what they think is best. And as always, if it disagrees with what I think we should do, I'm gonna hope I'm the one who's wrong. Internet clout means nothing. Watching my favorite team win at my favorite sport meas fun 😁
