Stewart was 8 carries for 27 yards. That's fuging dreadful.

if William's 11 yard run doesn't get called back, he had a better game than Stewart.

Both of our backs are good. Scheme and blocking are not.

This. Can't believe what I'm reading in this thread. The problem isn't Williams.

Signing bonus is still there if you restructure. Hurney and JR fuged us with these deals....

All we can hope for is a new staff with a scheme that utilizes what we have on the roster. Instead of asking guys to play away from their strengths.

This team would have a chance if we did that from the beginning

Sure it is. In this offense. Williams is bad. YPC is comparable to Stewart....only difference is Stewart consistantly grinds out small yards. Williams does nothing over and over hurting drives then has 1 run to give him a YPC near Stewart.

OL wasn't an issue last year. Didn't fit then either. Each passing year he gets worse thanks to Father Time as well

Heck no.....last thing we need to do is hire another coach and ask him to win with a majority Hurney/Fox roster. THAT is a big reason we suck. Don't want to go back to Fox ball.

I honestly think the issue with D-Will is 70% scheme and 30% Dwill. Even with this horrible season D-Will isn't far behind J-Stew as far as performance. I believe D-Will is at 3.4 ypc and J-Stew is at 3.6.

This obviously doesn't tell the whole tale, but I think there is a lot of overraction in this thread.

All that being said I agree with others when they say we should look for the first chance to get rid of him, but for me not because of performance, rather it's his contract and the bad fit in the scheme.

If he goes to a team like GB where he can be the primary back I think he could easily still put up 1100 yds with ypc from around 4.7 to 5.1.

What I meant was playing to whoever is on our roster, their strengths. Didn't say keep dead weight around. My point is if we have I formation backs....run I form...not read option

If we have a receiving TE...ask him to receive....not block Von Miller one on one...

Stuff like that. Utilize our strengths...

Eh.. The stats really don't tell the story here..

Yes, OL wasn't an issue last year, which is why Williams had 836 yards and 7 touchdowns. OL is an issue this year. It's quite obvious. Even Stewart had 761 yards and 4 touchdowns. Neither of them will come close to those numbers this year. Has nothing to do with "fitting" or "father time". I wouldn't call 836 yards with 7 TDs bad, considering he split carries with two other people.

    • You have gave the board some recent gold via posting. Heres my poor attempt at the truthful play-by-play of the time during post- I pulled out the old laptop to do my shitposting and check on websites. Open the huddle and see this new thread. Open thread and read CRAs post, {inner thinking, oooOOooo this is my lane and I got this}. Make sure not to scroll even to the 2nd post. 23% of current neurons still firing start up and two names appear- Captain and Josh....... about another 43 seconds past "O GOD" it's July 4th weekend and I got medicine to pick up. (If the laptop didn't give away my aging, the meds should...) I need to split, think long panther careers and the hint-  Ryan Kalil was a late 2nd and Pro bowls(even all-pros too) he's got to be OLman and Mikie Minter is among the all-time Panthers career leaders. Drop my post. Scramble to get keys, wallet, and phone. Check my phone- its 17% battery.....fug I now have to raw dog the pickup line and put the phone on charge.... Flip flops, sweat ringed filled hat, and shades acquired. Get in my pos rav4 and think about not running the A/C. Pull out the drive way and reach the 1st stop light, A/C is wide open. I check my shirt to see if there's any new stains on my house shirt, bush off the Bojangles salt that I see.... Neurons re-fire and focus on the comments CRA made that no one would get this....... Dang IT, that means it isn't Ryan Kalil or Mike Minter! CVS is close, but I know its impossible I get back withing 10 minutes to change my post and my phone is on the charger. {Think you monkey, at one point you were a draft nerd}. Reach the CVS line, by some grace its not 5 cars deep during 5 o'clock traffic hell. Im second in line after the car in front of me both turn in, they have to go back and forth to line up while Im a pro for that geometry. Neurons finally reach peak performance as Ive re-thought draft classes. Think obscure and unknown 7th rounders with long careers. Some Sunday/Monday night member berry fell out of my Melon, Will montgomery during the players intros for washington. I thought he out of the league and was shocked to see him still playing around the 2015 years. I do a goggle background check and that refreshed memory. Pick up the meds and enjoy the sweet smelling cool CVS air. Driving back and check in on one of the local bums at the big stop light, wow he's got a new fancy rug. Think about all the old food I got and need to start giving it away and rethink it. Reach home and post a follow up and I know Minter is wrong too, I check the draft history and see Robert Mcclain. Too late, but that would have been my guess....open CRAs link and get "upset" at the DBs name.
    • THANKS my guy! Keeping up with this threads theme, if I view a thread and there's only 20 posts and some time passes. If I see there's one new post and read the name; @Dave Gettleman's Shortsis among the chosen few that I will reopen that thread just to see what you posted.    Thanks again, plus not just a scout, thats scotty mccloughans son?!?!? If not for the deep claws of booze, scotty is among the best talent finders this league has recently had. Last I heard he ran a consulting business. Caden could be one of those who's on a early path to being a GM in the future. I was a big fan of his dad, dam shame about booze demon ruining his career.
