Jarrett will not be the starter in Carolina, but he should get the call when the team goes to three or four wideouts. He only caught 10 passes for 119 yards and no touchdowns last season, but I expect a very solid year from Jarrett and the Panthers' new-look offense.

jarrett has hands that catch the ball, not repel it like colbert and drewfus. colbert had some talent, just non of it made him a receiver worth having. drew would have been great if he could hold onto the ball.

jarrett has the ability to grab everything that comes near him and get hit by two defenders while doing it. he runs really good routes and uses his size to his advantage. he caught passes on the sideline the NFL way...two toes in. he may not have what you would call "break away speed" but he will fight for every catch and yard he can possibly get. he has the tools to be a great receiver. maturity was the thing he was lacking. he is getting that now. he has been getting the mentoring and has been taking advantage of every experience and lesson he has been given and using it to his advantage.

i saw massive improvement at TC last year. if it hadn't been for hackett's experience that WR3 job would have been his. as it turns out, it should have been his. hackett was the more proven commodity among the two. it's just that jarrett proved he can be better and healthier than hackett and won the #3 spot and hackett won a ticket out of town.

jarrett will be stepping up next year. you won't see anything but someone who fights hard to get the ball, keep the ball, and get those extra yards. he's a keeper for sure.

Yes, because if you don't have success by 22 years old like Dwayne Jarrett then you might as well quit the game. Good point.

You do realize that Jarrett is actually younger than most WR that actually spend 4 years at college, correct?

All the WR in the draft that people were panting over that were upper classmen are actually as old if not older than Jarrett, correct?

Not to mention he has been buried in the depth chart for the last two years and still is to an extent with Steve Smith, the best WR in the game, and Moose who is about as underrated of a 10,000 yard receiver as there is in football.

Do people actually think before they type around here? In a league where Keary Colbert is STILL getting chances after proving time and time again that he's not NFL material, we have people saying this is Jarrett's last chance when he's five years younger, bigger, and more talented.

If we let Jarrett go if he's not a 500 yard receiver this year, then we're stupid. Some team will pick him up, polish off the rough corners, and turn him into a Keyshawn Johnson type target in the passing game. Last chance my ass. He hasn't even had his first chance. All he did when we brought him into the game last year was catch first down passes.

Reasons why Dwayne Jarrett will not be shown the door before his contract runs out.

1. No one behind him on the depth chart is exactly "winning" his position.

2. Moose isn't exactly getting younger.

3. We won't be able to find 1st round WR talent in the draft next year.. well because we don't have a first rounder. Hard to say if it'll even be a need in the second round.

4. Clutch Catches. He has shown flashes.

5. Great Hands. We've been lacking that a lot. You don't see him drop any easy ones. Then again that's probably because he's hardly been targeted.

6. Blocking. He hasn't been targeted much, but he's seen the field a lot more than people think. Specifically as a blocker. We all know he can catch, but he's getting his blocking work. He'll have to do that if he intends on replacing moose.

7. His Rookie Contract is still cheap. and 2 years left. Hell, he might even get an extension if he pans out even a little this year.

I don't know what can happen, but I think even if Fox somehow get fired, He'll be staying.

      I said could, not would. I recognize he has potential based on past performance. Compared to what KP has done, Howell has more potential and the physical traits to make noise. KP has small hands and a weak arm. Not something you want in even your backup QB.  I've been hammering since last off-season before we re-signed Dalton, improve the room. Other than getting younger, I don't see how anyone can say we legitimately improved the room or even tried. We might as well have signed Josh Rosen.  Dalton is still on the roster for now. That's 3 QBs unless we trade or cut him. He's still Bryce's mentor after all. Do you believe we are going to draft someone with potential and give them a legitimate opportunity to develop from the practice squad? Are we going to carry 3 QBs on the active roster? 4 for a developmental rookie? Are we going to potentially cut KP if we draft a rookie and he's outperformed? Doubtful. Cutting Dalton(if we can't trade him) and KP would be 8m in wasted cap space.  I chose Howell as an example because he showed promise in his only full season as a starter. You could plug in another name with the physical traits and potential and what i said would still apply. KP showed almost nothing and was benched. I genuinely don't care if it’s rookie pick as long as there is the potential to develop into a future NFL QB.  As much as I can't stand him, Bellichek was always developing a number 2 QB even with the GOAT as his starter. The wisdom of that was evident when Cassell came in when Brady was hurt week 1 and went 11-5 and almost made the wildcard, which 11-5 gets you almost any other year. I give credit where it's due though. Cassel and Jimmy G both came into the league as developmental QBs, potential QB1s, and went on to have careers.  You never know if you never try. KP feels like a punt in addressing the most important position on the field. Bryce has never played 2 full games of franchise QB level football back to back.  If Bryce progresses, are you ready to offer a 280m 5 year extension based off a one hit wonder year? If Bryce regresses and we need a QB in 27, are we going to trade a fortune away again to trade up to 1 to get one? Are you ready to do the past 3 years all over again?  To me, it's not about Kenny Pickett. It's about the move itself. It was a feeble attempt to improve the QB room. We better hope Bryce succeeds, because if he doesn't, we literally have no backup plan right now.

      IOL that early isn’t good value at all. We have a LT who might not ever be good again and a RT that might retire soon. T seems deep early in this draft, so I’d go there in the 1st.

      Season tickets aren't affordable anymore definitely when they've been so bad for 8 years before last season. When I started going my seats were front row uppers for like 38 bucks. Those seats are 100 dollars now. Teams make their money from tv, if I was an owner my goal would be to break even on tickets and concessions.
