As a critic of Rivera, I believe he deserves one more year

I'm for three years or at least a start of the third year. It's just a gut feel and related to how he carries himself. I bet he interviews well with the next GM

But recall the headlines 5 weeks ago were how he had lost the locker room. Will not lose sleep if he is gone

You can't believe what the media is writing. They can make up whatever they want to get themselves a story. If he had lost the locker room no way they would be playing as hard as they are right now and still winning.

If you recall last year, we beat a weak Bucs team, stood at 6-9 and went to the Superdome and got stomped and finished 6-10. If we do the same this year, he has got to go!

Hey bud, I don't wanna fug up our draft position. Even the Bucs got stomped by the Saints(Freeman is shitty) and the Falcons got beat by them. It's extremely hard to win in the dome.

The Huddle: if he wins he stays...I dont want to lose our draft position...he goes despite any improvements that will be made or seen!

Huddle Solution*: We will hire a hologram-Warlock Bill Walsh and in a suprise move use the little know Mayan football Calender as the Offensive coordinator. It will predict the outcome of all football situations so that no message board can second guess, after the fact, about what Hologram Bill Walsh should have done.

Hologram Bill Walsh will also ride a Unicorn-Panther on the sidelines wearing the only all-Black Panther helmet ever made!

Also in preseason he will erase the players minds of all coaching from Rivera as not to pollute them with impure winning football spirit. They will never speak of Chud and Rivera and how they love them and will play hard for the coaches..

*for the slow: The Huddle Solution I spell out is basically the only option to match the expectations of the new coaching staff that we should hire.

Now that my main option is going back to college in David Shaw, and no other coach look anything special, I wouldn't be too upset if Rivera ends up being brought back. We have to get rid of Chud however, I'm not compromising that. Hopefully some poor team will want to make Chud their head coach. If Chip Kelly decides to leave for the NFL, then Rivera staying would be the safe move to protect us from him.

So give me a new OC, and I'm straight.

Our defense has shown major improvement, we have 6th and 7th rounders locking down receivers

If the replacement is a cooridinator or college coach then I am fine with and all for keeping Rivera instead of that. I much rather see what he can do in 3rd year rather than hoping some other guy who was never a NFL HC can do any better. Otherwise, and I am not saying its going to happen, but wouldnt mind having a Holmgren (HC duties only) or Dungy (doubt this one also) than Rivera.

    • Same, bro.  Yeah, it just feels it has run its course and I don’t know that we’ll ever get more value.  Plus, with the new ownership, this draft has been super encouraging, so dare I believe maybe this FO can get something to really put us over the top in return for Melo.  I’ll still be a fan of his game and try to keep up with him if we move on, but yeah, I feel it’s time to turn the page. (and side note: I felt so happy after their rookie years because I told everybody I wanted Melo and didn’t trust Ant.  And Melo clearly looked like the better player early…  I thought Ant would bust because all that stuff he said about not loving the game and just his resume to that point…  but damn, if we could go back in time.🤣🤣🤣. I love Ant’s game and at times, when he gets in the zone, he is THE BEST player in the league in my opinion.)
    • Appreciate that, bro!  And I could definitely see that with Cam.  Even though he’s a little younger than me, he is also someone I admire and feel a kinship with for a lot of various reasons. Funny enough, a few years after that encounter with Steve, I went to Charlotte with one of my friends whose brothers owned a moving company at the time.  He dropped me off uptown and went to work the day with them where I would wait until he got done and then we were gonna go to the Bobcats game that night.  So I walk all through that area for hours.  After awhile, I walk back towards the arena and sit in a bench on the backside of the arena, where the practice court and player’s entrance was.  As I’m sitting there, I look up and almost think I’m seeing things - I squint and blink my eyes a couple times just to be sure, and yes…  it’s one of my childhood heroes, Muggsy Bogues walking across the crosswalk and into the arena.  I think he was coaching the Sting then, iirc.  Part of me wanted to just say, “Hey!  Muggsy!  Thank you for the inspiration and memories!  You were one of my favorite players as a kid!”  But, I just watched him walk by and into the arena and thought, “that was cool!”  I also so Miguel Cotto a couple years back while in Orlando and told my kids who it was but didn’t say anything to him.  I think somewhere in my subconscious, that encounter with Steve really made me feel like the gamble on finding out if they’re receptive to interaction just isn’t worth finding out.  At the end of the day, no matter if they’re receptive inspired us or were a hero, unless they initiate it, I likely never will…  because again, they’re humans just like us.  Not anymore unique or special, they just have a highly visible and very public job that we get to watch and in some ways participate.  So, I just appreciate it for what it is.
    • I'm pleasantly surprised they gave it to Bryce Young over Josh Allen. Finally we're getting some respect. Now I'm just hoping the team follows this up accordingly and doesn't lay another egg.
