Hmmm already 2 and 1. And the season is lost! Don't feed into Rivera's mediocre winstreaks to keep his job. The man is not cut out to be a head coach. You do not win in this league with slow starts.

How many times are people going to overlook that players cost us games this year just as much as coaching decisions? The team is playing inspired football and if I knew that I was being payed millions whether I won games or not I can assure you I wouldn't bother. Something about Rivera has lit a fire under these players with nothing to play for and i'm all for giving him another shot besides..top 10 defense with most of the starters missing...bitch please!

I honestly don't see another coach in the pool this up coming season that is a can't miss type coach. (Especially with Shaw off the table) With that said, their's a shark that might be swimming in this pool in Chip Kelly. Having Rivera come back mean we aren't tempted to pick Kelly up. I don't want Kelly nowhere near this franchise.

Why can't some of you guys realize that the fire was lit because "JOBS" are on the line. Rivera hasn't shown any type of improvement from last year to this year. The only improvement I have seen is the improvement on the defensive side of the ball. Why can't you guys realize what happen to get us to this point? First we start off out the gate slow, we come out unmotivated and undisciplined. On top of all that we changed our whole entire offense. I wonder who let Chud do that?

Rivera is not the right guy to lead this team to success. At best, I believe we will be mediocre year in and year out with this guy running the team. The funny part about this when things got really intense during the season he didn't even stand up in front of the media and take the shots that Cam got. That's not a leader. The only time this guy can win is at the end of the season when we're not even in playoff contention anymore.

I done seen more then enough to know that what we been getting is all we are going to get with this guy. If Rivera remain as HC I will support him with no problem. I'm a Panthers fan. If he is retained lets hope his team doesn't wait into the end of the season and start to win.

I wanted Rivera gone as much as the next guy. But going back and looking at the games played under him for the past two years, he might have a winning record as a HC if not for player fugups. Cam's fumble against ATL this year. Mare missing two gimme field goals last year. Smitty fumbling against GB last year. Cam throwing it into the ground instead of to a wide open player in Seattle. Rivera has had his share of WTF moments, but there are many games that were lost as a direct result of player fugups that had zero to do with coaching.

I'm not sold on Rivera because we're back in the same situation as last year. Playing like crap the 1st half of the season and playing ball the 2nd half. If our problem was players, I believe that they would've played the 1st half. I think that the players were playing and running what the coaches coached. Everyone talked about Cam's attitude on the sidline and in interviews, one interview stood out to me; when Cam said: I'll do whatever they want me to do, if they want me to run it, I'll run it, etc.... that told me that Cam wasn't happy with the either the playcalling and or what he was being asked to do and instead of throwing people under the bus or burning bridges, he said what he said.

I want a coach that will coach the full season, a coach that will not change the gameplan up when we get a lead, a coach that puts his role players in the best position throughout the game for them to be successful, etc.

    • To be fair, I kind of like Bo but he was BAD this past weekend.
    • What I noticed was Tmac running free on deep routes a lot. Can we just get PJ or Hooker to throw go routes on every play for the rest of the season? It would be more exiting than this current mess.
    • We're all aware of the frustrating Week 1 for Carolina, but there's reasons to see Arizona as a possible get-right game. While this will be Zona's home opener (requiring the team to travel out west), they were barely able to hold on to a lead against the hapless Saints who got a chance to tie the game up with 2min left that ended at the ARI 18. Kyler Murray was 21/29 with 2 passing TDs but for only 163yds (5.6yd AVG) and a QBR of 50.9 (RTG 108.8). He was also sacked five times for 33yds. Meanwhile, Spencer Rattler went 27/46 and was sacked just once for 6yds. Kyler also carried the ball seven times for 38yds. James Conner struggled to get going (12 carries, 39yds) but Trey Benson had a good day thanks to a 52yd scamper (8 carries, 69yds). Arizona has weapons in MHJ and McBride, but the CBs have been playing well enough for McBride to be the true focus of the defense. MHJ had a good game though against the Saints, so hopefully Jaycee + Mike Jackson can disrupt that connection. The Cardinals also aren't a disciplined team... with an opportunity to put the Saints away they gave up a TFL and a holding penalty before having the field goal attempt blocked. Their OL suuuuucks at run blocking and got better pass blocking from their TEs in week 1 than they did from any OL except for Paris Johnson Jr. Isaiah Adams and Hjalte Froholdt especially had issues as did Jonah Williams. If the Panthers' revamped DL can't get pressure against them it might be worth giving the alarm a pull.
