What has Rivera really proven?

It is worth noting that the team still performed well down the stretch despite once again having a boatload of players on IR, and not just scrubs.

They did it last year and this season they looked worse than they did last year. They must have forgotten whatever it was they did right, if they knew.

I know a lot of you guys are on the keep Rivera bandwagon. This is a article I just wanted some of you guys to read if you want.

Rivera has proven that he can win in December, and if you get hot in December that usually translate to winning in January.

Also he as proven that the players are still playing hard for him, that shows a lot. Most teams would have laid down and quit already.

Even when we were down 24-13, the players responded and got momentum back in our favor and closed out the game.

He's proven he can take the greatest rookie performance in the history of the National Football League and not even get close to scratching the Playoffs.

And then follow it up with a 3900 yard, 19 TD performance and not even scratch close to the Playoffs.

He's proven he is not the right choice for the job.

Meanwhile Andrew Luck and Robert Griggin III head towards the Playoffs.

I want a team that performs long term damn near perfect - not at the arse end of another meaningless string of games - winning meaningles games does nothing but sell stickets to fools

I have to apoligize to Russell Wilson.

The Pete Carroll lead Seahawks and Russell invade DC next week in round 1 of the 2012 NFC Playoffs.

Go get 'em Russell.

He's proven he rarely beats winning teams.

He's proven he thinks a game clock is a South Carolina mascot.

He's proven that the team he coaches tends to be out of playoff contention 3/4 of the way through the season.

He's proven he'll make the tough changes and decisions once the General Manager gets fired mid season.

He's proven he'll take a top tier offense and change it in the off-season because he's Ron fuging Rivera.

He's proven that he loses the majority of close games he's in.

He's proven that he's the defensive Norv Turner - walk out of the gate, sprint once the race is over.

But the players like him and he's a nice guy and he's learning and despite the turn around other horrible teams have made, you can't expect Ron to coach a winning season for at least another year or two. We should probably think about extending him before too long so he has the time he needs to learn his craft and fully implement his system.
