Gettlemen/Rivera/JR

Now that Rivera's staff is in shambles and the argument of "continuity for Cam" is out the window...what are the chances Gettlemen goes to JR and says we gotta scrap this staff? This has turned into a sports disaster on the scale of Lee Fowler circa 2006 looking for Herb Sendek's replacement. Are you really comfortable going into the season with Rivera/McDermott/Shula as a coaching staff? That might be the worst staff in this history of non-Oakland Raiders NFL football.

At this point unfortunately the chances are probably slim but as a GM, I think it's Gettlemen's responsibility to go to JR and say that this is a situation that can be fixed...It's why he hired an effing GM. Richardson is quickly starting to look like an incompetent owner with the prospect of losing another seasonw with a franchise QB.

I'm not worried one bit. Rivera definitely deserves blame for some of our early season struggles, but the guy has no problem benching players that us fans think should be on the field, getting competitive play out of complete scrubs and firing coaches that just don't cut it. Rivera knows he SHOULD have been fired this year, so I don't buy the argument of him firing these coaches as scapegoats. He wants to make his mark on the NFL and he's not ok with phoning it in. He knows how many coaches want his job, how this team is gushing with talent but lacking identity and discipline. This team has gotten better under Rivera, and I know because we have Cam Newton we feel we should be in the playoffs every year, but that isn't how the NFL works. Heck Brees was putting up disturbing numbers in NO for a few years and not making the playoffs.

Before Chud left many people was calling for his firing. He totaly screwed half our season on the

read option and not using our running backs. Rivera or Richardson finally told Chud to change or leave. Now that he is gone some question the move. He could not turn down a HC job ! We can now

go to a more traditional offense and use our weapons better. Gentleman knows what it takes and will have an input on the new hire. He will look at Shula to see if he is ready and then look at Turner or

someone else. Either way we will improve.

Sounds reasonable. Who the hell let you in here? ;)
