By the way, you guys DO know the money is provide renovations to Bank of America stadium, right? Jesus Christ.

Or maybe we should just let the stadium go to waste, have Richardson die, and be a huge candidate to move without a better/new stadium in the works, right? Then again, with the way people on this site constantly whine about every little thing including this, maybe that is what you guys want.

Quote in the Charlotte Observer.

Taxpayers got a good deal when Bank of America Stadium was built, at least compared with the subsidies given to many NFL teams.

The public spent about $60 million on land and infrastructure, but the team built the $187 million stadium itself. Some of that money came from the sale of Personal Seat Licenses, in which fans paid for the right to buy season tickets.

In Minnesota, taxpayers are paying for half of the cost of a planned $975 million stadium for the Vikings. In Indianapolis, the public paid for almost all of the new $720 million stadium for the NFL’s Colts, which opened in 2008.

    • Exactly. Desired coaches with options aren’t coming here, even for money. They want to win and be part of an organization that knows how to do that and will let them do their job. No HC wants to come in a butt heads with Tepper’s dumbass and his wife who have zero football knowledge giving input in the draft room lol. Players don’t either. We already found this out with coaches and players like Stafford. Not sure why fans don’t see this, just because someone is available doesn’t mean anything. All these good coaches mean nothing to us. This team’s success will rely on hitting on an unknown mixed with throwing poo against a wall waiting for something to stick. See last 10 years (of perpetual losing).
    • But as we've seen, unless it's a Peyton Manning, there really is no sure number 1. You're better off taking your QB where you sit or trading up a spot. Moving up to 8 spots to number 1 is just too costly in terms of picks and the ability to build around that QB.  This is also why you should always be trying to develop in the backup role instead of settling for a Dalton type player. There are no guarantees and the more shots you take, the more chances you have of finding your guy or a bridge guy until you find THE guy.  Or, you get some dumb ass team to trade a small fortune for your number 1 overall pick and take your QB with the 1st overall that they traded to you as part of the package because they were so impatient.
    • It would be more reasonable for Igo to upgrade the board with some well overdue and needed updates
