Because looking at the situation... he wasn't someone who's hype machine ran away with him.

He wasn't someone who was juicing in college & couldn't beat the NFL tests so he fell off.

He didn't have an injury that he couldn't recover from.

He was just a lazy fug who wasted incredible talent & for all intents &purposes stole $39mil, & took up a roster spot that could've gone to someone who would've helped the team.

If someone signs him to the vet minimum with no guaranteed money and everything based on incentives it is a great signing. Maybe he has grown up and you have nothing to lose but a roster spot which going into camp is around 80 spots. If he doesn't show he is reformed cut him right off the bat. What is there to lose??
