Dumb (or Cool!) Panther Purchases

I was sent out to buy pretzels for my nieces and naturally I bought the Rold Golds Panthers edition.
It got me thinking about all the absurd things I have bought just because they said Panthers on them. Chairs, decks of cards, beer, glasses, seat covers, blankets, you name it, I've bought it.

So I open the floor up to you guys. Do you have any purchases you are particularly ashamed or proud of?

EDIT: This probably doesn't deserve it's own new thread but I picked up some awesome new Panther loots for my birthday!

This is a toast/waffle/grilled cheese maker. It burns a Panther logo into the bread!

These are painting my nieces did for me. They are 2 and 5 years old and they painted these for me in Panthers colors. I will be hanging them in the cave!

I once subscribed to SI many years ago just to get a free Panthers long sleeve tshirt. I bought a bag of mini snickers for Halloween that had all the nfl teams and took out all the panthers ones before giving the candy away. I bought a cheap kids panthers fishing pole (I don't fish) because I happened to find it at a Walmart here in northern Cali. I have a panthers cat collar and I don't own a cat. I had a panthers badminton racket cover even though I don't own a badminton racket, bought a panthers tail hitch cover before I owned my truck, and was about five minutes away from bidding on those huge panther logos from the old stadium board before my wife said if I spend money on them she would kill me. So yes, I buy ever useless panthers item I see.

A Panthers license plate for your car costs like $75 extra. I was going to buy one when I needed a new plate, but that was the year Jerry gutted the team, and I decided that I would not spend another $ on that team until things changed.

Now a days I will usually go out of my way to buy Panthers gear. The last thing I got was a cool man cave sign.

    • It’ll be interesting to see how the board falls I completely agree with you on TE for us The safety from Oregon would be the cherry on top for Evero’s defense/scheme.  If a OL’men is there that you love it would be very hard to pass up. This fan base seems to just see Walker as a stop gap but I wouldn’t be so sure. He’s the same age as Ekwonu. He’s had a much more impressive career arc/progression than Icky has. He’s the better pass protector. As far as I see it if Walker has a good year I’d bring him back over Icky. Ekwonu isn’t some elite franchise LT. Playing next to Lewis is going to be great for Walker much like it has been for Icky. We definitely need to get younger/cheaper on the OL though so for this reason alone it’s still top of my list come round 1 if board falls this way  Could also use another corner with Mike Jackson’s deal up after this season and needing a nickel but Corey Thornton looked really good in that role in the limited time we got to see him. However he’s coming off an achillies injury and you never know with those.  Then as mentioned above we do still have a need at WR. As far as “weapons” go it’s kind of a 2 man show with Tmac and Coker and neither is a burner. If Jordan Tyson is there at 19 and we can have a young WR group locked up for cheap that’s a huge advantage cap wise  And don’t forget linebacker. That clip in Devin’s Lloyd blueprint they used from Evero saying they need more intelligence there could’ve been left out for Wallace’s sake but it’s true. Wallace is lost in coverage. Pair a smart linebacker with Lloyd and that’s a group with Wallace and Cherelus being depth
    • The fact that this is even a discussion is a testament of the level of front office badassery that's going on.
    • Not always. LT was for the Giants. So was Ray Lewis. Von Miller was moreso than Manning his final year in the season that shall not be named. It's usually the QB, but not always.
