Talks about moving to outside, seemed hesitant about it. Said he'd take the same approach to playing it though.

Talked about Luke being so good and the vets helping him. How Luke adapts to coaching so well.

Talked about the 3-4 and how 50% of snaps last season were from the 3-4 alignment. Covered a few other things about the defense and so fourth.

Talked about A. Smith being fast and making fun of him for taking breaks and getting some drink on the sideline because of Stewart and Williams. How Smith couldn't turn the corner on the defense.

Talked about the SOS not meaning a whole lot.

Self scouted himself and Luke, extra effort plays that Luke played and that's what made him special. About staying disciplined on defense by staying in your gaps, but coming up and making plays when it counted. Having fun on the field while playing.

Talked about what players impressed him the most on defense, mentioned Luke and his ROTY for defense.

Talked about the strength of the draft and what position that the Panther's should draft. Mentioned receiver and a joke about Smith and Ron Edwards being old. Mentioned WR, DT, CB and taking the BPA if some one drops.

synopsis for those of us unable to view at the moment?

So far, he's talked about:

Switching positions: He would be open to anything. If the coaches ask him to punt, he'll start stretching. He's made his personal motto "whatever it takes coach" and he refers to the various moves he made in college (Runningback, Safety, Linebacker, etc.). But his personality fits best at middle linebacker because he wants to be in on every play and likes the freedom.

3-4: We have 4 great linebackers, but they are all 4-3 backers by nature though. However, through presnap shifts and the like, we actually ran around half our snaps with 3-4 fundamentals.

Schedule: The game he is looking forward to? The first one. He can't wait to get back and see the field again. He's learned not to take the game for granted. He also talks about how we were so close in so many games, and he wants to be out there to make that play next time.

Recapping last season: "Strength of the pack is the wolf, and the strength of the wolf is the pack" talks about how when everybody is playing their gaps right and believes in the guys around them, they are a lock down defense (like the San Diego game). Talks about how great and instinctive Luke was and how he was telling him not to worry about defensive rookie of the year: "don't sweat it, you're a shoe in to win it"

The Draft: touches on how we could be looking at a safety or wide reciever, but you always have to be ready to scoop up a talented player that shouldn't be available at your pick: "some people questioned the Luke pick, but you know, I got hurt, so then it looks genius" and about how it's important to get players who are that good. Also says he wouldn't sneeze at getting a big defensive tackle like Siragusa. Jokes a bit at Smitty "Everybody says you're too old, but we know you're not too old. *smiles*"

Good stuff. You always like the guy more after hearing him talk on some stuff.

      Give Legette another season?

      Trade up for a project was dumb, he's gonna be 25 next month. By the time you're deciding on whether he's worth the 5th year option or a big contract you're already gonna be thinking about moving on soon either way.

      I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......

      Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
