Drug test warning

So, I went for my 3rd interview for a job I thought I was going to get....and hoped they would send me for the drug test, so I started drinking tea before the interview. Yes, all went well, and they sent me for the drug test. I finished the tea in route and felt like things would be successful. But, when it came time....no....I did not need to pee in a cup....they cut my hair!! (Called my hairdresser right after....she was so upset).

So, as you know....everything is in your hair. They can even tell how long since you have used....anything. It only leaves when the hair grows and gets cut. They cut my hair ( a couple of good locks) near the scalp.

Now, I am not worried, and we chatted a bit. This place does a lot of court ordered stuff, custody stuff, private requests (parents checking on kids) and pre-employment and random screens.

I did not ask about they guys who had a buzz cut. My guess is, they get the hair from where ever they can.

So....previous plans to fool the drug testing process are not going to work these days.

I felt like a few of you on the Huddle might need this info....just a hunch.

For some jobs they do this. It gets even worse for other jobs such as police, fireman, medical staff, even some teachers. Usually (most of the time) they are just looking at recent time periods, not a life story. You should be ok if you've been clean for a while. Personally, I see it as a HUGE invansion of privacy. Some jobs no question drugs should be tested to that extent but for most a urine/blood/salvia test should be good enough, even then it's an invasion of privacy. If drugs affect you doing your job people should know by calling references, forcingthemselves into knowing what you do outside of work, something that most of the time is NOT their buisness.

It also takes skill out of hiring someone, as the person doing the hiring should take some of the blame/credit for a good/bad employee and some drugs do not make the difference between the two. People should be more personable in hiring and be a good judge of a person, not have some test form an opinion of them (why personality, IQ tests are becomming illegal). Not to mention drug laws are different around the country.

Ok ok so I am starting to rant but the answer is they look at a period of time, not the whol thing. I know from experience. Maybe you should consider tkaing money from the government from welfare/unemployment. No tests there...

Maybe you should consider taking a reading comprehension course. I have no worries about passing a drug test...any way, any time.

Maybe someone else will explain my point to you. I don't feel like repeating anything else.

I think he misunderstood your comment about drinking tea on the way....as if you were trying to flush your system. Instead of just trying to get enough liquid in you to get a good pee going.

I actually thought that was what you meant the first time I read it.

Your first sentence made it sound like you were trying to avoid a drug test positive result.

A reading comprehension course? Was it possible I read it wrong, or do you really believe I read it correctly and just comprehended it wrong? I'd be willing to bet I am more educated than you, the point being stop asuming, start thinking, and stop coming up with bitch comments that take more time to type than "I think you read it wrong" just to sound like a smartass. Looks like more people read it wrong, perhaps you should take a writing class.

The comment, that's a joke to people who have to take tests to go along with my rant, really nothing more to it. I did not know this was a worthless statement/attention/let's chat thread that tried to be more engaging mentioning things like tea multiple times, yet the tea really meant nothing at all along with your post in general. I promise you no one needs this info (still can't figure out what exactly the useful info is), and find it funny you took the time to post a worthless topic but can't repeat any of it's worthlessness for clarification. lol what a joke.

What exactly is the useful info? That some places hair drug test? That we can't fool them? Any moron who can use google or knows a druggy knows this. Or is the useful info on one of these places, a company you're probably not going to name? How does this help?

Meh I was wrong, your game is much more fun.

People could just not smoke weed. That'd solve things.

weed isn't the problem its the misconceptions people have about weed that is the problem.

    • Canales’ recipe for success is simple — slow the game down with long drives that keep the other team’s offense off the field. Long drives are built from short gains but short gains require more 3rd-down conversions.  The Panthers are converting 37.5% of their third downs, which is average but not enough. As a result, they have attempted 21 fourth downs — the most in the NFL — and they’ve converted 71.4% of them, ranking 3rd among teams with at least 15 attempts. The Chiefs are second @ 80% and the Colts are first at 88% but the majority of their conversions are short yardage runs - not passes.  The Panthers have had three big wins this season — against Miami, the Cowboys, and the Packers — those conversions have played a major role in each of those wins. Miami The Panthers trailed by 17 in the 2nd quarter, facing a 4th-and-5 at the Miami 48. Young threw a 21-yard completion and they went on to score 7 on that drive. Then in the 4th, down by 4, they faced another 4th-and-5 at the Miami 33. Young delivered a 17-yard completion for the 1st down and they went on to score the winning TD. Cowboys The game is tied and the Panthers take over at their own 14 with 6 minutes left. Rico picks up 16 yards and Young converts two 3rd downs, gaining 37 yards, but misses on a third conversion. At the Cowboys’ 40, facing a 4th-and-4 at the 2-minute mark — knowing the Cowboys likely score if they get the ball back — Canales has them go for it. Young converts with a 7-yard pass putting them at the 33 in FG range. They then go on to kicj the game winning FG. Packers Young was 2-for-2 on 4th-down attempts. Then on the final drive starting from their own 19 with the score tied, Young converts two 3rd downs for 19 yards and Rico adds another 19 to move them into field-goal range for the win. In total, Bryce went 2-for-4 on 3rd downs and 5-for-5 on 4th downs on critical plays in those games. When the Panthers needed 1 yard against the Packers on their own 41 early in the game, Canales went to Young. - not Rico. When they needed 4 yards to keep the drive going at the 2 minute mark against the Cowboys he went to Young. Those throws weren’t empty-yardage completions; they were high-pressure, must-convert moments that directly contributed to all three wins. I keep reading how the Panthers  are winning in spite of Young, that Canales doesn’t trust him and schemes around him. But these drives show the opposite: when the game is on the line, Canales has consistently put the ball in Young’s hands and Young has consistently produced in those moments.  Some people do well in normal situations but crumble under pressure. Others can be uneven in normal times but produce when the presure is greatest. The question is who would you rather have in the playoffs. More importantly, who do you think Canales and the FO would want?
    • I think is worse news for Tremayne. They need special teams help with him questionable.  If T-Mac is down, XL, Coker, Horn, and Renfrow. No way Chisena gets meaningful snaps as WR, only on special teams.
