The newer drugs are the best..... before they came along it was hell.

The best thing I can equate it to (mind you, this is back in the day when they didn't put you under all the way) is inserting a lubricated Babe Ruth model Louisville Slugger when there's no way in hell you think it'll fit....

I'm performing my first colonoscopy this Wednesday at 11am. Unfortunately for my patient, I'm more nervous than he is and will not have a steady hand.

On a related note, if for some reason they would have to remove a part of your large intestine, does that mean you have a semicolon? :unsure:

I have a history of colon cancer in my family so I'll be getting my first one this year at age 25 and every five years (I believe) from here on out. Sucks.

Don't have a history, but do have IBS and my last time out, they found four polyps, two they considered pre-cancerous.

Next one's scheduled in a year or two.

anybody under 40 and NO history of stomach cancer etc, i highly suggest probiotics now. get that good bacteria in your gut. some good wine or even sauerkraut ever so often.

Last night was horrible I threw up some of the solution but fought through it and finished it off...I'm about to leave, I hope all of this liquid is out of me before we leave.

The worst part is the hunger I'm a big guy 6'1 240lbs and I haven't eaten in 36 hours any real food ate some jello yesterday.

I feel out of it, just ready to get this over with

I'm doing this for my mom she has some rare colon cancer that is terminal we almost lost her last week and that has been the most devastating part.. Her doctor recommended that all her kids gets this done.

Same here. I do them every five years because my mom had some cancer removed. I think I'm due this year actually. Good luck, hope it turns out ok.
