Outside of signing starting qb's what team reaped the rewards of F.A. splurge's in history?

Curtis Martin to the Jets

Charles Woodson to the Packers

Deion Sanders to the 49er's

Reggie White to the Packers

You forgot Jerry Rice taking the raiders to the supebowl... So there you have it the best players in the NFL history made some impact on their new teams.

The Jets had 1 good year, 1998 then 2nd year of Curtis Martin's contract with the jets. Also they signed a QB that year, non other than Vinny T. who threw for 29 Td's and only 7 picks.

Also did'nt hurt that their their coaching staff was..

Bill parcels-Head Coach

Bill Bellicheat-D. Coordinator

Charlie Weiss O. Coordinator

other assistants include Romeo Crennel,Eric Mangini and Todd Haley.

Deion- Cowboys-Skins-niners

Reggie White- Packers

Charles Haley -Boys

WR Ed Mccaffrey and Bill Romanowski on TO-Broncos

TO-Eagles sb run

Rb Charlie Garner-Raiders

But really a rare exception is that any free agency splurge will push a team from mid-level to Championship caliber.

A team has to be on the verge like the Niners and quickly the Seahawks..

    • TMac is a good player and would've been the right pick if our QB could throw a ball farther than 40 yards. For this team's current build (run first, game management passing attack) and the fact that our TE's are laughably bad - the five on our roster have combined for less than 600 yards total, with 3 TDs - Warren should've been the pick.
    • If anyone feels like they can't have a conversation about Bryce Young nearly three full seasons into his career maybe assess why and how these conversations end this way instead of looking to shoot the messenger. Why is it okay to label anyone else on the team or coaching staff trash? Folks on the huddle and across the fanbase on social media have fully thrown anyone and everyone including rookie 8th overall pick TMac fully under the bus multiple times this season. But some of you guys apparently expect a pat on the back because Bryce Young successfully evaded a few potential sacks while Tyler Shough got consumed by our pass rush throughout the game and still had a superior performance. The state of this division is hilariously mediocre at best. Bryce Young is the only player on this roster who is allowed to have the lowest bar possible yet we have invested the most resources in him. It's lunacy.
