Weight Loss

So back in November at my peak i think I weight 284 lbs. Started a new job as a vendor which whooped me into shape. Fortunately I found a picture of myself last summer and it got me to do a comparison shot of myself now (compared to then).

Nothing really fancy with my diet, but I did learn to control my portions (at least 5 days of the week, I still indulge on the weekends for my sanity). As for exercise, I get it all on the job which helps because I am one lazy sob when I get home.

Here is my pic(s). Anyone else have a weight loss story? All of the feedback I've gotten elsewhere has inspired me even more. Hopefully those of you here, can keep it up if you're working on losing weight as well!

You look great!!!! Keep up the hard work.

I am down 60 lbs from August 2012 until now.

I cut out heavy starches, sugars, I eat plenty of proteins and vegetables, workout cardio for 3x a week for about one hour sessions and twice a week I do lite weight training. I stopped using the elevator at the hospital.

Awesome man, lookin' great. Unfortunately my eating habits only changed from the "amount" perspective, but I know soon I want to move into less sugar and more fresh vegetables. I eat plenty of vegetables now but they aren't fresh.

I'm either all in or all out... right now I'm all in... Completely addicted to going to the gym every day. If I get out for more than 5 days or so, it's hard to get back in it...

Just got to make the decision to do it and do it. My wife finally got her poo together and has been doing weight watchers for three weeks... so far she's lost 2 pounds a week and is down 6. Now she's motivated to stick with it... she only wants to lose like 20 so it's def doable.

I'm happy with my weight, but would like to lose more around my gut, which is the hardest part... more cardio!

gut gut and gut!!!

I need a little bouncy "girl friend" to get and keep me motivated.

she can make all sorts of promises and break each one of them...but that's how shallow I am. That would be enough to motivate me for at least a few months and a couple of pounds!!!

No carb diet started last week to lose the weight I gained over spring break.

Lost around 5 lbs the first week (cheated all weekend), and I'm doing it again this week at least. Used it to lose a lottt of weight in high school and although I'm essentially happy at my current weight, I would like to lose around 10 more lbs.

    • You have gave the board some recent gold via posting. Heres my poor attempt at the truthful play-by-play of the time during post- I pulled out the old laptop to do my shitposting and check on websites. Open the huddle and see this new thread. Open thread and read CRAs post, {inner thinking, oooOOooo this is my lane and I got this}. Make sure not to scroll even to the 2nd post. 23% of current neurons still firing start up and two names appear- Captain and Josh....... about another 43 seconds past "O GOD" it's July 4th weekend and I got medicine to pick up. (If the laptop didn't give away my aging, the meds should...) I need to split, think long panther careers and the hint-  Ryan Kalil was a late 2nd and Pro bowls(even all-pros too) he's got to be OLman and Mikie Minter is among the all-time Panthers career leaders. Drop my post. Scramble to get keys, wallet, and phone. Check my phone- its 17% battery.....fug I now have to raw dog the pickup line and put the phone on charge.... Flip flops, sweat ringed filled hat, and shades acquired. Get in my pos rav4 and think about not running the A/C. Pull out the drive way and reach the 1st stop light, A/C is wide open. I check my shirt to see if there's any new stains on my house shirt, bush off the Bojangles salt that I see.... Neurons re-fire and focus on the comments CRA made that no one would get this....... Dang IT, that means it isn't Ryan Kalil or Mike Minter! CVS is close, but I know its impossible I get back withing 10 minutes to change my post and my phone is on the charger. {Think you monkey, at one point you were a draft nerd}. Reach the CVS line, by some grace its not 5 cars deep during 5 o'clock traffic hell. Im second in line after the car in front of me both turn in, they have to go back and forth to line up while Im a pro for that geometry. Neurons finally reach peak performance as Ive re-thought draft classes. Think obscure and unknown 7th rounders with long careers. Some Sunday/Monday night member berry fell out of my Melon, Will montgomery during the players intros for washington. I thought he out of the league and was shocked to see him still playing around the 2015 years. I do a goggle background check and that refreshed memory. Pick up the meds and enjoy the sweet smelling cool CVS air. Driving back and check in on one of the local bums at the big stop light, wow he's got a new fancy rug. Think about all the old food I got and need to start giving it away and rethink it. Reach home and post a follow up and I know Minter is wrong too, I check the draft history and see Robert Mcclain. Too late, but that would have been my guess....open CRAs link and get "upset" at the DBs name.
    • THANKS my guy! Keeping up with this threads theme, if I view a thread and there's only 20 posts and some time passes. If I see there's one new post and read the name; @Dave Gettleman's Shortsis among the chosen few that I will reopen that thread just to see what you posted.    Thanks again, plus not just a scout, thats scotty mccloughans son?!?!? If not for the deep claws of booze, scotty is among the best talent finders this league has recently had. Last I heard he ran a consulting business. Caden could be one of those who's on a early path to being a GM in the future. I was a big fan of his dad, dam shame about booze demon ruining his career.
