Captains offer

I've thought about this. Even had a number in mind.

All in all it's going to take losing a few players to send the message to the rest of the team that the ridiculous contracts just because you were drafted here are done with.

Sadly, though, I honestly do wonder if Richardson will step in and tell Gettleman to start passing them back out if we start to lose too many "family members."

you know outside of fan speculation there is no evidence to support that about JR.

Sounds reasonable. If I'm Captain though, and looking at what other corners have gotten so far, then I'm thinking more along the lines of at least 3 mil per.

But, with the market what it is right now, that is probably what he would get MAX, not minimum, so it'll probably be enough to win him over.

This is a fair reasonably deal IMO. Not high but not cheap either. The CB market this year was very weak, the top CBs were only getting $5-6 million a year. For a guy that's going to be a nickel/3rd CB on a team this seems fair.

Glad to see Gettleman is content to let him test the market instead of giving him a blank check like Hurney would do.

here, lets play a game, where I say prove it and you try to prove it. And we see who wins.

Do I really have to sit here and copy and paste out for you all the evidence that has come across this Internet over the years of Richardson running this team like a family business and doing everything possible to maintain the players he's grown to like? I'm pretty sure there's something on the first few pages of the huddle that was being discussed just the other day.

I'll do it tonight then. I'm on a mobile device and am not going to sit here and spend a half hour doing this. If you're feeling impatient (or, you know, actually have some measure of initiative) you can google it yourself before then.

I am not saying you're wrong Because I really don't know But considering he fired both his sons and is not leaving them the team it makes me wonder if He is really that concerned with being Loyal to players

captain needs to be smart about this... San Diego may offer him more money but the cost of living is so much higher there add in taxes and just the thought of living in California should make captain want to stay here. Tolbert came here and took a pay cut but he probably brings home more money .

good point. it would be smart for him to talk to tolbert about all that.

more money doesn't necessarily mean more money in your pocket. it all depends on the area.

plus there's the stress and headaches that come with moving and then the reality that capt. has never really been far from home. he'd have to leave his area of comfort. i'm sure that's something that he'll be looking at as well.

    • I’m old enough to remember when I wanted to draft Njoku We brought back Mitchell and officially kept Tremble. Mitchell Evans isn’t going anywhere. Sanders who knows, he was awful last year I fully agree we need a better TE. This room is awful Njoku would be a massive help in the red zone. However it really seems like Dan and the FO prefer to go young on offense
    • You’re underselling Loveland imo. He’s so damn good. You can line him out wide and count on him to win 1 v 1. I don’t see that from Sadiq. Loveland is going to go over 1000 yards next season I’m not overly asking for a WR3. It’s just one of the few directions Morgan could go in round 1.  Let’s say Thieneman, Fano and Cooper are all on the board it’s a tough decision. I just don’t see how this team would take Sadiq over some of those guys given the way they run their offense. Our tight end room is easily bottom of the league so I can definitely see why someone would want a tight end though. At one point during the season I was on the Sadiq train as well. I just don’t think value wise for us specifically it makes sense given our team as a whole As far as tight ends go in this draft I really like Max Klare. Very smooth mover
    • Some of you need some serious help with the way 9 lives rent free in your heads I know for a fact, Dan loves Bryce. Bryce is his guy. This offense is very young and they’re asking Bryce to do a lot. With Idzik taking over playcalling duties it’s a move that is another step in the process of Bryce taking control of the offense. 24 years old. This youth movement on offense and putting more on 9’s shoulders is going to pay off in the long run
