I'm a UT student and feel like this needs to be said. CP entered the draft mainly because he was going to fail out of school if he stayed. He was failing all of his classes. The guy is a freak athlete but as dumb as rocks.

You don't have to be smart to play football... Here's a good example

Do you think that Patterson is the only idiot to leave school at the right time to make the big bucks?

That's like half of the league these days bro.

Seriously don't even waste your time. Trying to knock any sense into kkl would be the equivalent to discussing Cam Newton with Rick Reilly.

Yeah, I'm very familiar with KKL. He and I have had some "epic" debates. He's like that old bad dog in the neighborhood that's behind the fence that kids fug with sometimes just to get him riled up so they can see the histrionic reaction. Most of the time they leave him alone, but sometimes they just can't resist. I just couldn't let that go. Comparing CP to a guy that can't catch is a little disingenuous, and to think that good-sized, strong and explosive WRs fall out of trees everyday is naive, even for KKL. I mean, I can see if you just don't like the guy at 14 (or even 44), but to slide Stephen Hill into the conversation is just wrong.

Lulz he compared him to Ted Ginn, Troy Williams, and Darius Heyward Bay in another thread. The butthurt is strong with that one.

That's the best comparison I've ever heard on here comparing KKL to the dog behind the fence. I'll pie you later. Can't on my phone right now.

I think Patterson must have bullied him as a child or had sex with his girlfriend or cut him off in traffic or served him in a dance off or ate the piece of cake with his name on it from the fridge.

I personally have no idea why everyone thinks he's so good. Yes he's fast and explosive as a returned, but so was Joe Adams. From what I've seen of him, he doesn't run good routes and he body catches everything. Dies this mean he's terrible? No, I just don't feel comfortable drafting him in the first.

I'm not that old but good comparison. I like to think I'm more like the beast in the Sandlot movie. Anything that comes over the fence is gone forever.

    • Ha-ha, I bet that went through everyone's mind.  Admittedly I don't read all the comments in a thread before I make a post. Great minds think alike!
    • Cam was hitting his stride as a QB in 2017/2018.     This is why I think stats like completion percentage are overrated. As long as a QB is clutch and makes the throws to win the game the rest doesn’t really matter. What good is a check down stat padder if they’re a choker.  Until Norv Turner (and briefly Chud) got here we put Cam in high pressure throwing situations all the time. We also ran the ball on first down more than most teams in the NFL in the Ron era. Coupled with shitty WRs, all that is expressed in his stats. I also assume Cam took the ball in his hands on many occasions rather than trust Funchess to catch the ball.    It was also never Cams job to play the game like someone else. His presence on the field dictated the game in a way that is rarely seen.  He showed he could play the dink and dunk game just before TJ Watt. That didn’t suddenly make him better than his earlier seasons. He just got put in a legit under center  passing game again for first time since his rookie year with Chud.    Ron took the quickest path to success and abused the RPO because his ass was about to get fired.    Cam never got the credit for being the cerebral player that he was. I just think when you are legitimately a human Superman, sometimes the best play is having the ball in your hands. He was a better passer than Delhomme was.
    • I don't think Canales has any problem benching Bryce or moving on if Bryce doesn't come out playing like the end of last year.  It's year 3 no more excuses for Bryce
