Is the media ready to build Cam back up again?

I don't believe and I hope that Cam doesn't care whether the media builds him up or not.

Im a Bucs fan and like the panthers, we are a small market team. More often than not, best case scenario media wise is that we are ignored. If the media pays any attention to our teams it will be because of a negative situation.

Just accept that fact and do as I do, spend your days sending hate mail to Yasinskas and ESPN analysts in general explaining how dumb you think they are and how unjust it is that your team is never talked about in a good light. It wont change anything of course but it does make you feel better.

Honestly I just hope they show a short highlight of our games this season. Anyone that remembers game 1 last season, Bucs vs Panthers, knows that ESPN didn't show one clip of that game period. Weren't a lot of highlights admittedly but I figure no one would die if they took 30 seconds out of the "The Golden Calf of Bristol/RG3?NYJets/Pats" love fest going on over there to remind people Carolina and Tampa have franchises in the NFL.

Newton has one of those personalities that some people love and others hate. Most of us probably know someone like that. He's that friend you occasionally have to explain after something he says unintentionally rubs someone the wrong way. You like him, you'll always hang out with him, but sometimes he says something that makes you wince.

Happily, the Panthers have shown they have guys (like Kalil and Gross last year) who are good at keeping things smooth. So for me, as long as he gets along with his teammates, I'm not especially concerned about his media image.

Huh? None of us know this guy personally. We watch him on the tv, that's where it ends.

It's quite easy to judge a 24 year old kid still learning his way in the league. I'll listen to what his teammates and coaches say about him before I will fans who merely watch him play on Sundays.

    • I am high, but that’s besides the point! The blue line is not good right now. I’ve said it all year. I don’t think this group meshes well. Slaven has been just OK Niki up and down Miller up and down ghost and Walker have been your most consistent guys. Maybe it comes together more towards the playoffs
    • I was expecting to see more cap room moves by now, which may be to suggest that we are not going to be that aggressive.  I have mixed emotions about that (because I think we have 3 needs on D and 3 needs on O--starters).  If you look to the draft for 3 starters, that is ambitious.  We need 6
    • Yeah we shouldn’t be competing with teams, bidding wise, to sign a WR. There will be one for us and our budget.  I keep saying, how many balls will there be to go around anyway? One thing good I will say for this offense is the ball has been spread around at times. Seems like I remember seeing a large number of guys have caught passes in a game. Or been targeted at least. 3 RBs 4 or 5 WRs 2-3 TEs type of stat lines. 10-11 guys.  Not every week but that happens.    As far as WR in general, we need the smaller agile and quicker component to compliment what is there. After that it should be about depth, having good backups for the starters so we can run things consistently still, if a guy is out for a week or two. That is especially important in game where you have to finish the game with who you made active.
