Star/CJ/Hardy/Edwards or Peppers/Ruck/Buck/Jenkins

Yeah that Dline from 2003 was a beast. They blocked quite a few FGs that year. Also that line made our average cbs look good. It is way too early to compare. They haven't played together yet but of course you have to go with the line that got us to our first superbowl

Pretty sure that is what the team is counting on this year. Good pass rush makes average CB's look great. Much easier to be a corner when you don't have to cover for more than 3 seconds.

Yea, it's too early to say Star will be as effective as Jenkins. I'd take our current tandem of DEs over the old pair, but the old DTs were head and shoulders above what we KNOW about our DTs right now. If Star comes close to his potential, it'll become a landslide in favor of our current DL.

    • One thing I didn’t consider is how thin this draft is at quarterback. That’s going to drive up the market for backups and borderline starters like Willis, Jones, and Jameis Winston. Because of that, we’ll most likely be priced out of the market for this tier of backup.
    • We've already beat the #1 seed twice, why not one more? (Packers and Rams were both #1 seed at the time we played)
    • My determination has come down to this. Based on recent QB history, has Bryce's improvement warranted 50m per season? Lamar is the only original team QB to play on his 5th year. The others took major deals at the end of the 3rd, before or just after the option was signed. Chances are, we're getting asked for the same.  I haven't rooted for Bryce to fail. I've rooted for him to succeed so big that them signing that extension would give me no worries about our future at QB at all. We haven't seen that level of play consistently that this year. We haven't seen it in the past 6 games.  We're about to be at a threshold with Bryce and I worry about what this front office will do. We have a history of bad decision making and Morgan has been part of that group making those decisions. I don't want Carolina in the same boat Arizona and Miami are right now. It has nothing to with being right. It has to do with wanting to win for more than a single season. We've never had back to back winning seasons. Faith in their abilities is not warranted at this point.
