Biggest Steal of the Draft?

Well, a lot of people would argue about Rogers being the best WR. I like Hunter, Hopkins, Allen, Patton more than him, if not others like Austin. I liked Rambo the most of any S in this draft. He was the most complete S and the biggest turnover machine.

But I agree Rogers is a huge steal as an UDFA. I'd put them 1a and 1b biggest steals of the draft.

You guys need to understand that Rogers is a cancer to a team. Our WR coach retired because of him.

The drug problems weren't what made him bad. The entire team hated him. He fought with coaches and players regularly. Smitty would murder this kid before the season even gets started.

If I remember correctly his coaches and teammates praised him last year.

The point your missing is we lose nothing with bringing him in as a UDFA, and the reward to take him in the 5th or 6th FAR outweighs the risk. Bring him in, if he has matured or our vets can shape him up you have an awesome WR. If he causes problems you cut him. Simple

Have you guys not noticed that usually the biggest steals of drafts are guys thrones never really heard of? Not usually guys who are sitting on the top of mel kipers big board for awhile. In that case we got the biggest steal in 2010 in Jimmy.. That worked out great. It will be someone nobody has

    • Trade up for a project was dumb, he's gonna be 25 next month. By the time you're deciding on whether he's worth the 5th year option or a big contract you're already gonna be thinking about moving on soon either way.
    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
