2013 Panthers Mount Rushmore

Recommended Posts

I was somewhat appalled at the number of people mentioning Peppers in the comments in the PFT article.  I can only assume it's a lot of other teams' fans just listing people they've heard of that were once Panthers.  I mean I get he was a good player and all, but something like this should show who you want representing your team.  Peppers is neither the person nor the player I would want representing the Panthers.

For the 2013 season I'd go Cam, Smitty, Luke and one head that's half CJ, half Hardy.

For all time I'd go Smitty, Mills, Jake and Kasay.

edit:  can't believe I forgot Kasay

    • Look at the schools playing in the big12. Acc is better   They played mostly lower tier competition outside of conference. The only ranked win I can find is iowa st vs iowa 16-13
    • BYU got fraud checked pretty hard. Didn't feel like TT played particularly well and they still completely dominated. That BYU QB is basically bad Carson Beck when he has to throw the ball more than five yards. Their entire offense seems to rely around him running and throwing passing around the LOS. That's a tough row to hoe against good competition.
    • Like I said, yup. Corbett is a good player but it's that consistency thing... oft injured at that spot doesn't help. He'd make a heck of a back-up and swing guard, but not at the current salary. Mayes either has the chops now or he is developing into it. We need to get him to the regular starting spot before he gets to that free agent period and suddenly becomes to expensive to throw bucks at without knowing his true potential. But yeah, Centers are way, way undervalued. And I understand it. Good teams keep their centers under contract for a decade, they rarely end up on the free agency market and get little fanfare when they do. It's just not sexy I guess. But like a MLB or a punter, if you don't have a good one,  you're fugged either now or soon.
