read all about this great scenario about how the panthers trading cam newton to the pittsburgh steelers for ben roethlesberger and a first and fourth rounder is a legit possibility!

 

 

While we all know Rivera's fate is obvious in the case of a 2013 implosion, a much more interesting question would be the fate of the organization's star player. Is it possible that Cameron Jerrell Newton, first overall pick in the 2011 NFL draft, could become trade bait just three years after his anointment as franchise savior?

The idea is not as far-fetched as it reads. HURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

 

 

 

 

i know it's bleacher report but even so. i'm guessing this was the theoretical prowess of PFFL. anyone want to claim this?

Interesting prediction. It makes no sense, but it is interesting.

 

I can think of situations where Cam would be traded, but it isn't because he "isn't doing well." Cam will always put up some decent stat lines, and of the team loses it won't be because of him each and every game.

 

And there is no way a team is going to come in and steal our franchise QB. That is what franchise tags are for.

      Not sure how much he was a long term piece of this team.   Sucks to not have him as part of the rotation.   Looks like it's Lee Hunter time.

      I am not sure he will put the over the games but we’ll probably have them.   Two things I am thinking.  We have 4 preseason games.  All the coaches have enough service time to know the standards that are in place for decades. If I recall it was play your starters just a series to start woth and build it up until week theee where play a lot and you have week four to set hour roster. Evaluate before cuts.   Bevell will certainly have the whole thing down pat.   I’d they don’t do the fries and frie air will worry too. Because it is set up to do that.     I have said since they went t three preseason people have to figure a new way are still feeling it out and trying things.  We don’t have to this year.
