Oladipo at #4?

Recommended Posts

I know the Cats/Hornets seem to constantly ignore the center or power forward position, but I feel like Oladipo would be a nice pick.

With Kemba, Oladipo and MKG, you have a young, athletic, defensive backcourt that could attract the eyes of a free agent

I feel we could get a solid big man in free agency and Dipo has the athletic ability to guard a great perimeter player, and plays above the rim

Oladipo is on my list of yes I'd take him. I know flash and scoring is nice but man having a great D will be fun too. I'm just wanting to see if he can truly surpass Hendo! The problem I see with taking him is what can he do that Hendo can't and how can he improve our team in the win column.

What's Oladipo potential? Superstar or role player?

I personally believe he could become a superstar. At the very least, I think he will be a top 5 SG in the league.

How does he help our rebounding and points in the paint problem?

Well, he's not a big man, but those are the two things he does best (outside of defense of course).

    • The panthers are such a trash organization at this point that all the huddle can do is argue about which panthers team is historically the worst…good times.
    • Well, hope they're not worried about a torn Labrum or Rotator Cuff, as someone who went through that myself, I know those don't have anything show up on X-Rays but from the MRI, so this is kinda a nothing update, hope it's not a tear or his season is already over if they decide to do surgery now. Which is basically what would be needed to get him to 100% for the start of next season's training camp if it's a labrum.  If he plays the season with it and then does surgery, he's not going to be ready for camp and probably not the start of the season either.
    • I always try to not pay much attention to a team’s preseason win/loss record. The 1982 Washington and 2021 LA Rams both lost every game in the preseason and went on to win the Super Bowl, whereas the 2008 Detroit Lions and 2017 Cleveland Browns both won every game in reason and went on to lose every regular season game. There’s many examples of teams that lose in preseason that go on to have good seasons, but equally there are teams that lose in preseason and that continues in the regular season. Which will we be?  I think our floor is a handful of wins, while our ceiling will probably be around the 9-10 win mark. The latter will require significant improvement from the whole team and coaching staff, and will also need Bryce to play like the QB we drafted him to be. I want to be optimistic and predict a winning season, but it’s really difficult as a Panthers fan!
