Jamarcus Russell watch; Scheduled workout with Bears, Ravens also intrested.

Recommended Posts

For those that care, Russell has a private workout with the Bears this Friday and the Ravens are also showing interest. What a amazing story if in a year or two he starts for a team and wins comeback player of the year. Hey never say never. This guy is only 27 and still has a cannon of a arm. Losing 55 lbs is no joke and extremely hard to do.

I smell a movie in the making.

Comeback player of the year in the next year or two, book it. Lets also remember that in 07 when Russell came in the league, the NFL wasnt as pass and QB friendly as it is now with all the changes in rules and regulations as it pertains to the passing game. A lot has changed since Jamarcus last played.

It would be kind of funny if Jamarcus does play lights out good, then we can say "Guess they where right afterall about Cam being the next Jamarcus Russell."

I can't help but cheer for the guy if he really pulls it together.  Who wants to be this generations Ryan Leaf and be considered the worth #1 overall pick? He's definitely young enough, and has the ability to dig him out of that hole.

    • I dont think people realize how hard it is to find a consistent starting QB in the NFL. Byrce will not heart us to a SB but I do think he can manage to get us one or close..go all in on defense and change the Offensive passing game and play calls. I really think our biggest problem is our HC.  Take New Orleans QB for example, switch him and Bryce and I promise you it'll look similar or worse. New Orleans OC is levels ahead of Canales. And as far as the draft goes, in this division with as much rb talent as we face ..the answer...this guy:    Pick up a couple edge rushers in FA along with a corner and plug this guy in Rozeboom's spot. Defense solved. But only if we get a top tier rusher on that dline....jus saying
    • I think I'm going to the game in Los Angeles vs Paraguay, and the England / Croatia game here in Dallas since my mom is British.  For decent seats anywhere in the building(s) it looks like it will be upwards of $7k for the two games.  Insane. Just for perspective, you could buy field level EPL tickets for any one of the top sides in the league, and it would be 10% of the price you'll pay for crappy seats at the World Cup.
    • Meh… I knew this thread would turn into a Bryce/Tua comparison, when they couldn’t be further apart situations.   Dolphins catered there whole offense toward Tua, they brought in a coach that would run a Tua friendly offense, the went in got the best most explosive WR in the NFL and paired him the fastest WR in that years draft. Panthers have done the opposite, they went and got a Pete Carroll disciple who likes to run the ball under center, they drafted big slow WR who got little separation in college. Literally the polar opposite of Bryce’s scouting report coming out of Alabama.   Tua was a decent QB 2 years ago, but the concussions, lack of movement have caught up to him. He never had a great arm to begin with but now since he doesn’t want to get hit he’s taking the whole offense down with him.
