Call the animal shelters and if shes not there ask them if they have a lost animal list.

Where I live, our humane society has a list and it's connected with all the local shelters and the newspapers so when its listed on one site its also on the others too. I'm so sorry shes gone, i would just want to die if my baby ran off. I hope she comes home.

Dont give up - make up fliers and put them on telephone poles all around the area- check with all the vets and animal shelters- go door to door in your neighborhood - - she may have crawled into a drainage pipe or under a house and is unable to get out due to pain and swelling- look everyplace you think she maight go to get away from loud noises - several years back one of my dogs went missing during a thunderstorm- my gf and me looked all over- stayed up half the night callng for him - my gf bawling her eyes out - about mid way through the next day, wife calls and says he just came to the door - he smelled like hed been under our house the whole time - had that mildewiy musty smell and had cobwebs on him.  Keep looking - good luck.

Stories like this are heart breaking. They are good examples if why it is a great idea to have your dog micro chiped.

We actually had a chip placed under our dig's skin that allows me to know her location via a website.

I can't remember how much it cost, but I believe it was less than $500.

We actually had to use it before as she lines to blog out the door and run if she gets the chance.

Thanks for the positive stories, it helps. she is spayed so she isnt off finding another dog. And we have a good friend who works at the local animal control/shelter and shes helping get the word to the other shelters

My next step is to get up with some hunting buddies and see if we can locate someone with a bloodhound or tracking dog to maybe catch her scent but all the rain has me thinking it might have washed it away

Try posting her pics. and info. here.

My parents who live about 5 miles down the road called us at 8 today said she came in through their cat door this morning. Lol

Shes been to their house as a total of 5 times and then just casually walks in their door thats for their cat and shiba inu. Thats one smart dog

Feeling so relieved now !
