Still hung up on this ordeal - what would you have done?

Since what I'm about to explain is really long, I'll just use cliffs.

-Was sort of seeing this girl I wasn't really into but was really into me. We never dated.

-One night, went to bar with my friend and met this other chick, eventually made out with her and got her #.

-Find out this chick and the girl I was seeing are in the same sorority. Girl #1 finds out about this, calls and chews me out, but isn't that upset. I end things with her.

-Girl #2 and I start talking and I realize I'm really into her, then I find out she's the "little" sister of some crazy bitch I drunkenly and regrettably hooked up with last year.

-Crazy bitch, who hates me for whatever reason, convinces girl #2 to end things with me on the threat that she won't be her friend anymore. About a day goes by, then girl #2 says she's too into me to just stop talking to me. By then I should've seen the red flags.

-Girl #2 and I "secretly" date for about a month. I'm really into her and I feel like it's reciprocated.

-One night as I was walking her back to my place for some smashin', we run into the crazy "Big." She flips a shiyt and pretty much forces girl #2 to break up with me. Girl #2 sends me a text saying it was her decision and that she was going to eventually stop talking to me anyway because she thought she couldn't date me and keep a good name in her sorority due to her "Big's" constant drama.

-We don't speak for about a day, then she snapchats me crying saying she misses me, why is life unfair, blah blah blah. I fall for it and we start talking/dating again. She tells her "Big" to fug off.

-This Romeo and Juliet thing lasts for like a week. She flakes on our date we had planned once our exams were over, and then the second she goes home for the summer she suddenly stops replying to my texts and snapchats.

-I was drunk from a party the night before I went home for the summer, and texted girl #1. End up going to her place and smashing. She then shows me a few texts and Facebook messages from girl #2 saying that she wasn't ever really into me, that she was just lonely and needed someone's attention, etc.

-About two weeks go by, then I demand an explanation from girl#2. She says that she still really likes me but knows that nothing can ever exist between us due to all the drama that's happened, so she can't help but not talk to me.

- She then kind of changes her stance and we make small talk for about a week. Then we just stopped talking again. The last time I talked to her was May 20 something.

-I find out she and her "Big" are friends again.

Was this girl playing me the whole time or was it legitimate? is it worth trying to contact her again? I had feelings for her and I don't know what to think. Girl #1 and I still smash on the regular but it just isn't as good or meaningful as it was with girl #2.

Also, I really want to get revenge of some form on the crazy "Big" but that's kind of immature. Would you?

Sorry for the long story, but I just wanted to see what some fellow huddlers would do here.

No on the revenge. Get on with your life. Sounds like girl 2 doesn't know what she wants. Sounds like you're into her. Personally I'm not a fan of girl drama, so I'd just go completely cold shoulder on her at this point.

Girl 1 sounds completely drama free and understanding. Give her a few weeks of undivided attention to see if she's right for you, or a total glutton for punishment.

Or... Do the douche thing and keep smashing both until you find a self-respecting lady who won't let either you or a sorority walk over her.

I got about 3 lines in and stopped reading.

Here is my answer.

Your in college, stop worrying about relationships. You will haven plenty of time for that later.

Get out of your dorm, have a great time, hook up with as many chicks as you can. Because one day, you will wake up married with kids, and all of that debachery you did in college. Will be the only thing you have left to reflect on.

Truth.

Yeah, you're in college, keep smashing both, move on, and then smash some other girls.

Note, sorority girls are crazy.

Another note: I wish I was in college again.

I honestly LOVE sorority girls.  Not even kidding.

That said, just keep on with girl no.1 as long as she will let you, and continue to look for others.

No need to be in a relationship at this point in your life, no matter how you think you "feel".

And for gods sake don't pull the revenge card, it won't end well for you no matter what you think.

    • He is a great guy but a horrible reporter. He makes my skin crawl when I hear his name. I heard that babies cry and dogs attack him when he enters a room. Other than that he is a good dude. Now go burn in hades u sum bit.
    • The job just really passed him by. He came up when basically you just needed to get three or four quotes, toss a couple of team provided stats in there, and stretch it out to column length. you got your copy in by 330, out the door by 4, then chill/shmooze the rest of the day. If you were really good you got a book deal. Every now and then you got to write an editorial. The goal of the profession was like Peter King where ostensibly you’re a beat writer for whomever but you get paid to just shoot the poo. now it’s a 24 hour job, you’ve gotta be social media savvy, the pace has increased substantially, you’re expected to produce more than ever, you gotta be able to look through bullshit etc. there’s still risk of industry capture where you just become a mouth piece. Sheena Quick is obviously shameless. I don’t think Newton ever aspired to be more than an inoffensive beat writer, but even that relatively simple role was just more than he was cut out for. its even worse when you’re covering a team that expects the Fourth Estate to act as a PR extension, or considers them on par with buying Twitter bots to promote Bryce. there were over thirty papers that covered the panthers first training camp. In that environment there’s room for boring guys like newton, and they may even be incentivized to push the boundary a little. But today that just isn’t the case and most of the guys are hanging on until retirement (person, gantt) or they’re good and gonna be matched up like Jordan. im not defending the current state of sports journalism, just saying that what counts as a meat and potatoes beat writer passed newton by. He’s retiring well past his sell by date, but that’s pretty common for his generation in general.
