New Phone

SOJA

Recommended Posts

What's up guys- I currently have a Samsung Galaxy SII, but am due for an upgrade. I like it, and am not entirely picky about my phone. What phones do you guys suggest?

Should I wait for the new iPhone to come out?

Go with the Galaxy S4?

or something else entirely?

Just went phone shopping recently.

I had the 4s and upgraded to the 5. Did not see the 5s being worthy of waiting for since I had cracked the screen on the 4s.

My favorite non Iphone was the HTC One. The Notes look cool too but I don't want a phone that big. S4 was neat but not for me as much of its neat features I would never really use and when trying them in the store they were far from working perfect.

SOJA did you ever decide on this?

I just realized that my wife is eligible for an upgrade in August... I may steal it from her and get me a new one...

Obviously the S4 would be in play, but the HTC One looks awesome and so does this Moto Droid Maxx that's coming out in August with a 48 hr battery life...

I decided to wait it out....my reasons are that nothing is wrong with my current phone, and the longer I wait- the more prices will drop and/or new things will come out.

I haven't heard of the Moto Droid Maxx---I definitely might look into that, thanks for the heads up!

Moto just announced like 3 or 4 new phones today...

wow---good things come to those who wait I guess, thank you sir!

Yeah, I would wait longer too, but my Rezound has started acting like a bitch about half the time.  It's noticeably slower than it was and I've done all the requisite cleanup to it and it still bogs down.

Plus that Maxx with the 48 hr battery life would be pure awesome.

When is 5G coming out?  That's the only real thing worth waiting for, unless someone comes out with an AI phone, then it would probably take over the world and kill us all anyway so it'd be moot...

The droid razr was probably my favorite phone I'd ever had. Currently have a s3 and like it a lot. The screen is big and beautiful. The wife just got rid of her iPhone 4 and jumped into a 5. It's ok I guess, the iPhones never really impressed me much. She likes it and swears its easier for work purposes. I'd take an android over iOS all day long.

    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.

    • Ryabkin could be the steal of the draft, he was a Top 10 pick heading into last season and had a rough year.  Lots of GMs passed on him because of that and his workouts. Pick has really high upside and Svech should be able to translate Rod tearing his arse a new one for making dumb plays since Svech has had several years of it.  🤣😂
