A Superman/Batman film is coming in 2015

Warner Bros. is about to bring together two of its most iconic heroes: Superman and Batman will unite in a new film, the follow-up to “Man of Steel,” set for release in 2015.

According to two sources with knowledge of the movie, Warner Bros. intends to announce the news at its Comic-Con International panel Saturday morning. Said a Warner Bros. spokesperson, “We don’t comment on rumors regarding these properties.”

“Man of Steel” director Zack Snyder is expected to reunite with screenwriter David S. Goyer and star Henry Cavill for the new film. It’s unlikely Christian Bale will step back into the bat suit, as the actor has indicated publicly that he has moved on from his days as Bruce Wayne.

I'm pumped. DC makes epic scale movies and I'm sure this one will be no different. A lot of the people shitting on the concept are the same people who love the Avengers which is incredibly ironic. The only thing I don't like is that if this really does follow The Dark Knight Returns storyline it'll be more of a Batman story than a true Superman sequel.

Putting these two together will totally ruin the latest Batman series. Man of Steel(while good)was no where close to caliber that Batman Begins was or the entire Nolan series for that matter. If Christian Bale isn't in it it then it will be that much worse. Thumbs down.

Plus making a thrilling script and plot with a cheese head like Super man into Batman's gritty and dark universe will be a challenge.

In the comics it works. They usually work really well together even though their genres are vastly different. If there can be a Clayface in Batman's universe I'm pretty sure Superman can be too.

it works in the comics because the writers aren't so concerned about the 1970s and 80s superman movies. All the movies until MOS have followed that blueprint instead of the comics.

superman is a much darker character than batman. but everyone remembers the campy movies. imagine if Batman was only remembered for the 1960s series.

A movie would be good if done right (writers remembering that Batman will be the brains and moral compass of the duo). Supes is corruptible; Batman isn't.

    • I’m not talking about when they started to do some CYA. The quote was about Frank and Fitterer being in lock step. That was said in press conferences right after the draft and before mini-camps. The other guy gave me a huge post on why Reich is awesome. He’s doing exactly what I mentioned for the excuses. Bottom line is that, yes, I believe there’s more truth to those early press conferences than to current day gut feelings and post-Reich/Fitterer firing rants trying to CYA. Could it all have been lies? Sure, but nothing has actually come out proving it. Believe me and I promise don’t hold as much weight as actual spoken words after the draft/before Young snapped a ball as a Panther. Again, look at the PG poo. To this day, people still think Tepper in May saying PG means that Tepper made the pick himself even though the OC discussed QBs as PGs with a team reporter 3 months before Tepper regurgitated a snippet of that.
    • Weirdly think there's a better chance we pull off the upset with Dalton. Canales might call some plays that he didn't trust Bryce with, and if we can get a halfway decent Dalton game (and run the hell out of the ball), I think we can stay in it.  The Bills offense seems like hot garbage this year and then gets hot in spurts. Josh's scrambling is the biggest issue, if we can contain Cook.
    • I would go with we are in famine now, with those guys it was feast or maybe TV dinners with the occasional famine. 7-9 was the running joke when predicting the record for well over a decade.
