Glad to see the Huddle was worried about this too. I even personally sent him a tweet saying this is not how our fan base is, and to not paint us in that light. 

 

I'm MORE than guilty of calling him names and making posters that (may or may not  have) suggested Greg Hardy should decapitate him. But it was all in fun and for the Huddle. Not to be plastered on twitter, facebook, or reddit.

 

It makes me sick seeing people tweeting threats to ANYONE and signing them "#PantherNation".

Let's not pretend Dave isn't a raging douche, because he most certainly is. He responded to me several times and basically acted like I was one the people cussing him out when I was pointed but fair (which is why he responded so much, as I kept bringing up valid points that weren't a variation of "U FUKKIN SUK!!!")

Out smarting the other 63 team in this past uniform contest was a massive achievement by panther fans and one that we all should be proud of, i myself whet through two wireless mouses to make this happen. One thing however i think that was inappropriate was the child like behavior and attacking of dame dameshek who is a douchecanoe i agree but its this type of behavior that brings the class of this organization down a bit.

 

I'm not saying he didn't deserve that twitter attack because he basically told everyone to vote against us. The Gloating however by our fan base after this competition was really shameful and the some of the tweets i read that were sent to dave dameshek were downright horrible. With that said it really does feel good to beat nfl.com at their on game and get our team to recognize that the all black uniform is sexy prompting them to schedule it's appearance for more game.

Absolutely not. The things he said about our team, fan base and Cam are not forgivable and it most likely was him that made those comments. If it could be proven his ass can be canned. The Panthers have been cheated out countless games all because we played against a more favorable market and we were not going to be screwed out of this too. Plus our uniforms are actually the best in the game. This is a win that needs to be shoved down his throat every day with his cup of coffee.

Irv, while I agree that taking the time to send him profanity-laced tweets was a bit much, the gloating itself was not. I also think it was completely acceptable to remind him to make that new video, no matter how bad he sh*ts on us in it...

This dude went out of his way to insult our fanbase, by first asking fans to vote against us, then second, by possibly registering as many as 3 accounts here to make inbreeding and Cam jokes... Which by the way, I have NEVER heard directed towards our fanbase and are real knee-slappers. I would be embarrassed if he was an actual, professional journalist, but he's not. He's a smug, turd smoking, small animal choking, smoldering asshole after an epic chili night.

In this day and age where Beercan Joe can reach out and communicate with a national media figure its incumbent of that person to either A:not antagonize and insult his audience or B:deal will the fallout with grace and take the tongue lashing.

 

I'm not ashamed in the least little bit over what was said to him.  He is a grown up that willingly antagonized NFL fans.  What did he expect?  Recriminations that read like they were written by Longfellow?

I dont think any threats need to of been made, nor do i know if they were, but gloating and kicking the assclown while he was down? MORE than acceptable. Like others have said, he went out of his way to s**t on our uniforms and to make the claim that the ONLY reason we won this little poll was because we cheated. He had NO facts to support that claim other than the fact that we are a "small market" team that couldn't possibly put up those kinds of numbers.

 

This was a big win for our fan base and proved we are a passionate lot. Ok it was a meaningless uniform poll, but it doesnt matter, we put more effort into putting our team ahead than ANY other fan base in the NFL. Our social media KILLED it. We should be proud of that. On top of that, ownership has heard us and will more than likely give us the all black uniforms that we love, on more than just one occasion. Thats awesome. 

 

Keep sending the gloating tweets until the asshole makes a video claiming us as the winners. He would have done it for every other team.

Apparently in the last uniform contest thread there was 3 different troll accounts made all with the same ip from Pennsylvania where dameshek is from. No one is out right saying it was him but some of the language used mirrors the tweets he has tweeted. The accounts degraded cam and the fanbase as a whole so who know. Also somewhere one of us said in the thread they were using our old logo then in the next round it got changed so that leads some to believe dameshek was reading the threads and was aware of what we were saying. All speculation though
