Yasinkas is still a slack jawed dildo, Steve Reed from the AP wrote that article.

But don't let this stop the masses from the Joe Person bashing, as you were.

ok...this helps me make sense of things and puts things back in their proper order where yas is still horrible.

steve reed is great. i wished he did more.

i corrected the OP to give reed credit  and gave you credit for pointing that out.

JJ is defintely a more reliable source of info.  the way he squashed that cam/dorsey argument rumor thing last night nightwas great. person, on the other hand, would have spun it the way that dolphins fan did...i mean he would have if he were actually paying attention. that's the rep he's earned.

And no kidding, ALL OF US ARE ASKING, WHY?

Why does he go down this road, day after day, week after week

I used to love FNZ, now I loathe it and put up with it because of the lack of chioce, but when JJ comes on, he is insightful, thoughtful, at least a smudge of a fan, informative, well-spoken...in other words, all of the things Joe is not.  And it is not like I did not give him a chance.

I hope Cam publicly puts him in his place Thursday, then Rivera can follow suit and then, right before he is released of his reporting duties, Dave gets to put a little of that, "are you wickhead stoopid or sumthin'?" as Jerry runs him out of camp on his golf cart.

fug you Joe and the horse you rode in on.

Steve Reed & Gantt were what good beat writers should be.

Good journalists who didn't shy away from being truthful in their assessment of the team or players but were fair, backed their work with research and perspective, and were dedicated to be a conduit for the fans into the team.

Good beat writers also need to be good salesmen in the sense the players will grow to like and/or at least respect them.

In particular, the Person hack job on LaFell was unprofessional, un-newsworthy, and has ruined his credibility with the team.

The only way he rebounds is if he somehow sticks around long enough for the players and people within the organization who feel slighted by him or think he's a joke leave and people later on give him access.

We as fans suffer in the meantime.

Person's initial blog post was still bad.  his longer article was actually better, but damage done.

And now we find out Yasinskas article was actually written by Steve Reed?  Oy

Reed's rep took a hit when he famously wrote that the Panthers would never sign a player like Keyshawn Johnson, and they signed him 24 hours later.  That, plus occasionally using bits and pieces of player bios from Panthers.com in his stories with no citation.

He's been better in the years since (and after getting the AP job).

    • Bleacher Report trade and mock has us trading to 9 and picking SG Brayden Burries Charlotte Hornets recieve: Kyrie Irving and No. 9 pick Dallas Mavericks receive: LaMelo Ball, No. 14 pick and No. 18 pick The Hornets just finished their sixth season with Ball. It was only their second with a winning record, their sixth without a playoff trip and the sixth in which someone else paced them in win shares (Kon Knueppel this time around). While they'd surely like to keep building on their second-half momentum, maybe they're just unconvinced that Ball can lead a winning team. Maybe they credit that stretch run less to him and more to the addition of Knueppel, the ascension of Brandon Miller and some out-of-nowhere gains on the defensive end.   Charlotte should be dreaming big right now, and perhaps it believes a steadier hand at point guard is needed to realize that. Or maybe it feels it needs a little more time to bring everything together and thinks that task would be simpler without Ball's money on the books and with a top-10 pick in a loaded draft instead of two selections in the mid-teens.   Either way, this shakeup works. Short-term, a healthy Irving should be far easier to follow than Ball. You may not always know if Irving is playing, but you know what you'll get if he does: elite shotmaking, all-time handles, offensive ingenuity and the ability to work both on and off the ball. He could show this young roster what's required to win for a year or two (he has a $42.4 million player option for 2027-28) or even stick around longer if the partnership proves especially fruitful.   The Hornets also add a building block in Burries, who offers both plug-and-play polish and flashes of shot-creation that hint at star potential. In short, they could better their chances of winning both now and in the future while collecting both the best player in the trade and the highest draft pic
