Kenjon Barner Rising

Not really sure he warrants the name barnburner based on his 40 time at the combine.

I will take amazing quickness over an amazing 40 time for a running back any day of the week. Armond Smith is faster than Kenjon, but not quicker. Smith is not rising in the ranks.

I hope Zod's predictions have gotten better than when he said Fua and McClain were going to break out.

I do think Barner can produce. Agree, he does run lower now in the TC vids than in the Oregon youtube vids. Not sure if the Dunn comparison is valid. Will admit that I didn't watch that much Dunn when he was at Tampa.

On the first day of training camp, Barner saw time mainly with the 3rd and 4th string units. More recently he has been running with the second string unit led by Derrick Anderson. It appears Barner's stock is rising.

Derek.

No offense.

I look at it this way.

Kenjon Barner allows Stewart to get healthy and not rush a comeback.

There have been times when Stewart has rushed back from injuries, but now with Barner he can take his sweet time coming back. If he thinks he can play week two then that's fine or if he has to wait until week 15 then that's fine as well.

Haven't heard but has he been back working with the KR as well?  I know Williams returned some kicks as a rookie.  With his abilities and him being the 3rd RB at most, figured he would be in the picture for the KR spot back with Ginn

I have no doubt Barner will be a star in this league but he may not receive much opportunity.  He has a couple of high salaries in front of him and I seriously doubt carolina will place those salaries on the bench in favor of Barner. I expect to see him on KOR and possibly screens, unless there is an injury, I dont see him running out of the backfield much this year.

    • Ok.  I see that signs may not obstruct others view.  That seems to be a pretty large sign, and since they are in the front, if they were to hold it up, I feel it would obstruct others view. I don't see the point in holding the sign in their laps. If I were in securities shoes, I would just tell them to put it up, so that I don't have to keep a constant eye on them because not everyone listens and will just wait until I turn my back to raise the sign again.  I see no point in holding a sign on your lap where it can not be seen unless you are just waiting to break the rules again. The amount of time they have "gotten away" with this is still irrelevant.  For all we know, someone complained they could not see because of the sign.
    • Cows fan with just some info.      Some good points from y'all but some that are poorly thought out too.   Dallas played the last game (Jets, 0-4) with 4 OL starters out, Cee Dee Lamb out, #3 WR Kavontae Turpin out (he's also the League's #1 returner), #2 RB Miles Sanders out (avg 5.8 ypc).  Dak is playing very well as is Javonte Williams and George Pickens.   Cows have a lot of offensive depth and talent and are/were the #1 offense in the League.  416 yards last week and close to another 40 burger.  They suck on D ! DC Matt Eberflus plays a very soft over the top zone.  Russell Wilson (NYGiants) shredded the Cow's D for 450 passing yards  (I think there were 7 plays of 30+ yards).  In the 2nd half of the Fudge Packers game Dallas D never got a stop thus there was a tie (40-40).  With only a D ranked around the middle of the NFL pack Dallas could probably be 4-1.   Their D sux badly.   They did get a few sacks (5) against Justin Fields last Sunday in NJ otherwise they gave up 380 yards against the Jets.   We are very familiar with Rico Dowdle.
