Our OL reviewed

CRA

Just look at the preseason game this year we where able to march down the field several times with traditional run game. We still don't have Tolbert & Stewart to run inside the tackle and short yard situation. Also Cam barley scrambled yet we still got to the redzone.

I'm betting that by end of the season our O-line is going to be one of the Keys to a winning season and playoff birth.

We will find out by week 3 how good our O-line is going to be this season.

Williams has averaged 2 yards a carry....first string run game hasn't marched down anything.

Cam running gives as an added cog to our run game..... Issue is he remains the best threat and makes our overall attack look better than it is. Him running is not an example of the run helping our offense work....it is him taking over.

CRA, just stop. You're overracting... like usual.

Any competent football fan knows that talent and coaching is only half the battle. The other half is chemistry and experience.

lol...OL was a bad last year. We didn't do anything to it. Calling it still bad and still an issue....is far from overreacting.

And no, adding the 4th rounder isn't doing anything to improve it for 2013.

NFL is largely a talent driven league. Then you add in the coaching.

Chemistry and experience? Look at last year....how much chemistry and experience did Russell, Kap or RGIII have....

They all had better OLs....there RBs could run and thanks to the OL and got protection.

OL is huge. Cam make your skills positions great or below average. OL last year made our RBs probably slightly below average overall on the year

After looking at the game again, I think we have something with our 2 TE set in the run game.

Other than a couple of miss assignments from our guards, while pulling, we're getting good yardage in this set, unlike last year when our starting O Line would just get overpowered.

I haven't seen our 1st team O Line get out right overpowered in preseason as of yet, just missed assignments, which can be fixed. This is a good thing.

Gotta believe that with the moves DG made in NY that he isn't going to vastly improve our weak spots... give him some time, he will push the right buttons.

DG didn't make any moves in NY. He didn't coach up the on scrub talent either in NY

Cam's running talent is actually better and gains more yards when he scrambles around during pass plays ......Our running game is going to get better this year due to scheme, return of injured played. I think we have necessary players to help  Cam in the offense we just have to get them healthy and play in the right scheme. The running game is going to help Cam out just like Alfred Morris did to RGIII

RB - Stewart & Williams  both had 1000yds+ season and one of them is going to repeat it this year

FB- Tolbert probably second best option behind Cam in short yardage situation

TE- Olsen 843 yds .... can be and probably will have over 1000 yds +

WR- Smitty all day every day 1000yds + season

WR- Lafell - 677yds ........

Even with this "no weapon offense"  we still where with in aTD reach to win the games in about 8 games last year

With the front 7 we will get the ball back more often & have plenty of opportunities

 to score.

Cup is always half full!

Even at the tail end of the Fox-era, our running game has been average and it's been for quite some time now.  I think spirits still ride high on 2008 but honestly, we've had nothing that special since.

At the end of the day, it's simple: We need a better offensive line

Our whole right side is just downright bad.

We ran a traditional scheme much of last year.....didn't help the RBs. They were inconsistent and average bc the OL.

So going traditional doesn't solve it.
