Does anyone feel like he is actually part of the team. I kind of feel like we just aquired him in a trade for nothing. Gettis has stepped up as has Edwards. Hixon, staying on the sideline.

Gettis is a Hurney guy....if Hixon is healthy, it will be tough for him to take a spot from Hixon

ginn makes adams expendable, and hixon is worth a roster spot more than adams, pilares, or bersin. unless something shocking happens i think we'll see those last three guys gone.

Wow Pilares is being counted out? I am still not convinced that Armanti will make the team. All it takes is for one of the other wr´s to pass him.

 

Smitty, LaFell, Gettis, Ginn, (Final roster spot) Unless they go with 6 WR this year.

Pilares is telling Gettleman that he has cheeseburgers right now.

Bersin is already down on one knee. 

It ain't going to matter unless Dave decides to go into the season with only 2 QB's on the roster and even then he may carry an extra LB instead considering the situation we may or may not be in.

The only thing about Pilares is his special teams value, nosomuch as a returner but as a gunner. Who else do we have filling that role?

Yup, Rivera is a Hurndog, as is almost everyone on this roster. What has Hixon got that Gettis doesn't? Hixon was made better by Manning when he saw the field which honestly hasn't been much the past couple years. Gettis hasn't seen the field either, but he has played THIS season.

Pilares is a poor mans, Ginn, neither are as good as Gettis. Ginns route running is limited it seems to seam routes. He is stiff in the hips and is much more fast than shifty. Armanti is more of a threat in my opinion than Pilares and it has shown this preseason. Through a quarter and a half AE has 2 rec for 37 yards. In an entire games or even a half it's possible he keeps getting open. I doubt anyone passes Gettis, even through the Hixon is Getts man theory. There have been 90 guys at training camp and If you think Rivera is going to agree to play Hixon because he is Getts man your wrong. They will field the players who give us the best shot to win and don't have to justify it to the huddle.

Surely someone on this roster besides Pilares can be a good gunner.  It's not rocket science.

Hixon has played in 2011 and 2012....made plays. Gettis hasn't.

Hixon likely suits up Thur night so then you can strike out that little fact Gettis played 2013 preseason ball.

Hixon has the fact he is a Gettlemen guy going for him. Has played in real seasons recently even if injured.

A couple preseason grabs against backups won't be enough IMO for him to beat out a Hixon who suits up unless his chemistry is horrid with our QBs. If it looks close....Hixon IMO wins be battle easily

Really? Ginns too season 750 yards, there about. Gettis around 700? Gettis is more fluid and can adjust to the ball. It's obvious the way Ginn runs he is more of a speed guy with straight line speed and he's going to have a hard time adjusting to the ball. With Ginns speed I was hoping I'd see him at reciever but right now he looks too stiff for me. How many receivers do we need from 5-9 to 6-0 on the field at the same time anyway.
