How ESPN Pulled A Bullshit Colin Kaepernick Story Out Of Thin Air

Remember when he shitted on Cam in the same countdown list? It was total B.S. to start talking points.

What did Jaworski have to sell before Kaepernick? A month ago Jaworski released his "QB Countdown List." There was a big, long roll-out for it. He listed Kaepernick, the guy he thinks may become the greatest quarterback in NFL history, as the 11th best quarterback in the NFL. After he released Kaepernick's ranking, it became a talking point on First Take and Numbers Never Lie. Analysts were mad at him. Some thought he was unfairly exalting Kaepernick by ranking him where he did. Here's a transcript from First Take, via TVEyes. We can only presume this is Skip Bayless:

This article raises shows proof of how ESPN will spin any non-story into a flagship story. What they don't care is how they desolate these young men's early career by engineering unreal expectations. In this article they show how they put even more undue pressure on a player that will no doubt go through the same 2nd season troubles we saw right here in Carolina last year. What does it mean? We can all now officially disregard any spin ESPN circlejerks our way. I hope this unequivocal proof is all we as fans ever need to point to when ESPN discredits or tries to burden our franchise in turn with undue expectations or in turn, smear.

Panthers win, Cam plays well and all this BS will stop.If we give them something to talk about besides towels on heads and assorted horse crap. Hope this defense will provide the fuel for real coverage of this team and the offense doesn't provide more negative stories.

    • I didn't move the goal posts. But anyone who follows football who wants to engage in a rational discussion can't argue that 10 7th round picks are equal to 10 1st rounders in value. The argument has always been we haven't spent as much on defense has we have on offense. Draft picks have value just like salary. We have not spent the same amount of draft pick salary cap on defense that we have on offense since drafting Bryce. It's not even close. Just the 2 1sts we used on Bryce, 2 overall 1sts have a value of 6000. That doesn’t even factor in DJ Moore or the 2 2nds. Bryce cost more than everything we've spent on defense in 6 damn years.
    • We need to hope this scenario plays our next week he fails with pressure…what that means with Evero, is beyond me
    • Woukd be a great addition You know the issues from my prespective, 2 things the Panthers must do 1. Edge or pass rushers or 2 oline or 3 oline or as Andy Reid says, when in doubt, draft a lineman it is time   That oline is troubling plus a small person at QB  they   1. Can do a lot better than mayes at center, 2. and lewis has had injuries all season. 3. Moton should not have  been resigned long term, 4. corbett is a shadow and will probably be released  5 and Christianson coming off Achilles   6 and the kicker, would be Ickey’s contract if they decide to keep him INMO rookie and contracts will be needed to offset all that
