Goodbye David Gettis

What are you talking about? Teams can only put in claims for players waived. We haven't waived any receivers worth a damn. You've been upset about this for the past 48 hours. You just brought it up in the Mikell thread, lol.

Also, it is merely your opinion that this receiver corps is supposedly worse off without him.

Clearly the people with actual knowledge in the league disagree with you What I was saying that if any of our receivers were on waivers, except for Smith, the league would smile and keep moving down the line.

What I was saying, and have said before, is that you can probably put any WR that we have on waivers, and more than likely the GMs in the league would pass, much less for an injured one that has only played one season.  Stop trying to feign confusion. Gettis is gone, so be it. As has been insinuated by Rivera, it's more about a "serious" hammy than his ability. You obviously take some kind of perverse joy in rubbing people's nose in it. Well, at the end of the day, it's all just football, and it you believe that top dawg doesn't keep things in perspective and have a level head about it all, then you're barking up the wrong tree. Go troll someone else who is ready to jump off a bridge.  I am going to support Armanti, Hixon, Naka-esque player , Clausen-esque player, and whomever else like I have always done.

I'll just leave this here....

@Panthers If injury settlement is reached the players will become free agents and the #Panthers have option to re-sign them at a later date.

Dave Gettleman said he hopes to reach injury settlements w several of waived/injured guys so can bring back later in season.

What does being good have to do with going on IR? Sterling Sharpe went on IR and ended his career, does that mean Armanti is a better receiver?

Gettis has contributed more despite 2 years of IR than Armanti has in a Panthers uniform.

Gettis > Armanti

Keary Colbert > Armanti

Drew Carter > Armanti

You sure enjoy trashing Armanti Edwards.

Edwards only learns or does everything the coaching staff want him to do and creates no problems, but you are just thrilled to bash him.

Now they put him in as the 3d QB also.  So he is a QB, WR, punt returner, kick off returner, and probably does some other things.  Maybe he should learn how to punt also.  Would that make you happy?  Not that I care.

    • I am high, but that’s besides the point! The blue line is not good right now. I’ve said it all year. I don’t think this group meshes well. Slaven has been just OK Niki up and down Miller up and down ghost and Walker have been your most consistent guys. Maybe it comes together more towards the playoffs
    • I was expecting to see more cap room moves by now, which may be to suggest that we are not going to be that aggressive.  I have mixed emotions about that (because I think we have 3 needs on D and 3 needs on O--starters).  If you look to the draft for 3 starters, that is ambitious.  We need 6
    • Yeah we shouldn’t be competing with teams, bidding wise, to sign a WR. There will be one for us and our budget.  I keep saying, how many balls will there be to go around anyway? One thing good I will say for this offense is the ball has been spread around at times. Seems like I remember seeing a large number of guys have caught passes in a game. Or been targeted at least. 3 RBs 4 or 5 WRs 2-3 TEs type of stat lines. 10-11 guys.  Not every week but that happens.    As far as WR in general, we need the smaller agile and quicker component to compliment what is there. After that it should be about depth, having good backups for the starters so we can run things consistently still, if a guy is out for a week or two. That is especially important in game where you have to finish the game with who you made active.
