Is Jerry Richardson the worst owner in the NFL? He brought us the Boost Mobile of NFL teams

We don't have Al Davis to kick around anymore. JR went cheap at head coach, coordinators, GM, and in free agency. He bilked the taxpayers for tens of millions of dollars, yet managed to pay UNC Charlotte $10 million for naming rights to their stadium.

Are we just wasting our time rooting for this team as long as he's the owner? You get what you pay for. You pay for Boost Mobile, don't whine and be surprised when you get no coverage anywhere outside of uptown Charlotte.

Al Davis was never a bad owner, he just old. He always tried to win though.

He is staunchly defended around here but it's not that difficult to make a solid argument that he has been a pretty poor owner. He has fumbled many times over the years. So yeah, I think he is a bad owner and despite all his blather about winning is all that matters, he has been a perennial loser and has yet to put his money where his mouth is.

    • I also think this is exactly how you use analytics. They spent a lot of time talking about how there was a 45%, 90%, 17% percent chance a certain player would fall to them and used that knowledge to plan who they wanted to pick. They did not use analytics to draft a 'super sleeper with traits'. Watching the last few of these with DM at the helm, I think they know what a football player looks like and use their analytics to help prepare draft strategy.  Im very high on this FO group.
    • I dont want to read into this too much but I think this might confirm that we are done with Icky.  If you are targeting a LT and not just surprised that one fell to you, then you have to be looking at that long term.  From a team POV its not bad. They got a long term LT. Let Icky walk and likely get a 3rd round pick back and a better cap situation.
    • I'm not ready to give up on this team, they got it together after the Montreal blowout and I expect them to play Canes hockey next game - this was first game jitters which Vegas didn't have because they have been their done that. Freddie and the first line have to show up and we will be fine.
