Tampa wins and we're only 1 game back.

4th and a short 2 and you have Tolbert and Cam and if we fail they have the same amount of field to score. My thought process is that should the Panthers fail to convert, it's possible the Bills play for a field goal instead of a TD with no time outs. I like our chances of converting there though and we were running all over the Bills on that drive.

It was actually 4th and 1, not 4th and 2...which makes it even more insane.  However, I feel like Rivera would have kicked the FG if it was 1st and 10.

Yeah I didn't expect him to go for it either. But by now he should recognize he needs to step out of his comfort zone to win. I just feel that with Marrone there and it being early the Bills would've gone for a field goal to get into field goal. Our defense is not good when defending and offense with nothing to lose at the end of the game.

Shades of Chicago, Atlanta, Detroit, Atlanta, Buffalo, Tampa. How many more names must we add to this list before Rivera steps outside his box.

I will give him credit, I'm sure we had that last play pinned down but DJ Moore was playing the slant again instead of his man.

And, if Tampa loses to NO, were only 2 games back. And were only 1 game out of the wildcard spot!!!

It's a long season.

Winning is a process.

We just have to execute better.

Now that our shitty secondary is worse. The difference without Josh Thomas blew my mind and it was stupid of him to dive head first after the guy was on his way down.

    • Yeah they were bad QBs - but QB's that stayed on their teams for several years.  BY is better than all of those.
    • This is the right move even if you think Bryce isn't the future. Everything except signing him to a long term deal until proven otherwise. There's a decent chance we have a shot to draft a QB next year that we like.
    • If we're still bad enough that Canales gets fired, especially if it's during the season, there is no way we could ever attract any HC worthy of the job if we told them they had to keep Bryce their first year. That would be 2 coaches he's gotten fired and 4 years of not performing up to par. I still say replace both of them next offseason.  I like Canales the man and I think he's done an absolutely outstanding job at fixing our locker room issues, as it was really bad before he showed up.  But I just don't see it from him with his in game decision making, I think he's held us back just as much as Bryce has, just in different ways. Canales was our Dan Campbell, the coach you hire to turn the franchises culture around for the HC after them to inherit and take to the next level.   The difference was he had some elite coordinators early on and really let him focus on his "leader of men" role as opposed to the X's and O's that Canales does himself and it's turned out well for him.
