O-line (outside of Bell)

Lost in the domination was the play of our O-line - they played really well. The giants have a good to great front four and they were completely stifled this entire game. They had like, what, one sack? Did they even have a tackle for a loss on a running back?

 

Silatolu looked VERY good in his first start since getting completely healthy. Wharton looked good on the right side and when he stepped in a right tackle, you could really tell a difference between him and Bell. Speaking of Bell, he didn't play bad but he's still the weakest member of our line by far. 

 

All in all, they played a good game and gave Cam plenty of time. They blocked well on their runs - especially the read option blocking with Amini pulling - and were able to get into the second level consistently. 

 

I was impressed.

Bell wasn't nearly as bad as last week obviously. Did he have bad plays I've forgotten?

The only time I remember a bad play from the line was Wharton's facemask penalty and that looked like a bad call to me.

One of several areas our team corrected the mistakes that plagued us in the Buffalo game. Very good sign.

Chris Scott may be a find....didn't hear his called all game and that's a good thing....anytime dwill goes for 100, cam scores and stays on his feet along with getting the tough yards to keep the chains moving.....then they are doing their jibs.

Bell is still responsible for that sack on the first drive I believe. It really is crazy how bad that kid can be at times.
