Apparently this needs to be said....

The amount of money that Cam was fined isn't a big deal. He makes plenty through his endorsements and is in line to receive a pretty healthy contract. Money isn't the issue. The issue also isn't the fact that Cam broke a rule, or that the equipment manager broke the rule or what the hell ever. The issue is that the enforcement of the rule as it relates to these clips is focused solely on Newton. The violation appears to be league wide, but only Newton is being called out on it. That's the thing that has blood boiling. If Cam is going to be fined here, then so should numerous other players. Otherwise, the NFL needs to drop the fine.

No argument with that. I believe that everyone who violated the rule should be fined.  Cam should not be singled out.  Poor form for that writer to mention Cam...and no one else.

According to the charlotte observer a team source says that the equipment staff uses the UnderArmor clips because they find them easier to manage.
