that was brockel.  norman actually did the right hting in trying to recover it.

some have said before we are not playing to normans strengths. his window is closing he needs to get his poo together or he'll be gone soon.

His only strengths that are apparent are the ability to catch the ball and run his mouth. The weird thing that I see is half of the posters on here saying that he struggles in man, others in zone..I say that he struggles in both because he gets too deep in zone and keeps a ten yard cushion throughout the receivers route in man. You can't just give the offense room in an attempt to prevent the big play.

Yeh, it didn't hit Norman. However, when he went to recover (like he should have cuz it hit his teammate), instead of falling on it, he tried to pick it up and run. Should have jus fell on it.

he struggles in zone. at least that is what i've seen. He has ball-hawk skills and he has made a few amazing, jaw dropping plays. I'm not trying to make excuses for him cause he has been awful in situations. He has cost us games.  But he does have strenghths that could be used.

No football coach will tell there player to try to scoop and run in that scenario. That is a middle school no no. You jump on it....like Senn tried to do. Just bc he failed to get it doesn't make his play on the fumble wrong and Norman right.

Norman was there first....he could of easily knocked it out if he wasn't been trying to be a hero.

i never said he shouldn't have. I just said he did the right thing in trying to recover because people though he just tried to pick the ball up for no reason.

Actually no, he was going to have it, then Senn came crashing in like an idiot and knocked it away from him.

My bad homie. You said he was right in trying to recover it. There was a lot of debate about him vs Senn when it went down....

Yeah, I don't comprehend the flack he gets. Thomas was an UDFA signing. For what it's worth, Josh has done a commendable job, all things considering.

Ah, the Byron Bell syndrome (except in this case JT was drafted).  When a guy wasn't expected to be counted on, it is ok to have subpar performances.   Leave it to the Huddle to fall in love with guys like this even though they lose games for you.

norman was a dumbass. but phil alluded to norman being the one that caused the fumble. but norman did the right thing in trying to recover the fumble, he just picked the wrong way to try and recover.

No. That is a huge leap of faith....coaches teach you to jump on it like Senn bc the odds are slim the scoop and run attempt works in that mess.

Senn played it right with bad results. What you are left seeing is Norman standing there trying to do what you shouldn't.

JT probably deserves it...I know he got burned against SEA, but he is that type of player. You will not hear his mans name all game and then he may get beat for a 50 yarder...it is the risk you take when you mug guys at the line. One thing is for sure, he will not play ten yards off his man a la Gamble and Josh Norman and give up multiple first downs on a 7 minute TD drive.

The Seahawks pulled a stunt that smart OCs use from time to time to get that TD.

On the first play, they ran Thomas all the way downfield with one receiver, nearly got him but not quite.

Next play, throw in a fresh receiver and make the corner run all the way downfield again on the same route.

You know he's not going to have as much gas, so there's a good chance you get him on the second play, and they did just that.

That strategy's worked many times on corners way more well known than Josh Thomas.
