Shula's play calling hasn't been good by any standards, but it's way more than that. This loss is 100% on the players. Early drops just killed our offense. That and Cam just decided to die in the 2nd half.

Arians gameplanned brilliantly against our defense.

 

Newton started out great but has looked mediocre as the game wore on.

 

Plus you've got drops, line issues, dumb penalties, etc.

 

Multiple issues today, but Shula's playcalling isn't among them.

Cam's teammates let him down early in the game taking points off the board. He should have started off 6/6 and a td. Lost faith in his teammates and started to force it. When you do that bad things happen.

No the drops by Steve Smith and Brandon Lafell took away opportunities for scoring touchdowns. Cam threw a pick in the redzone. This game is on the players. That is the story of the Panthers they don't maximize their opportunities, with this win they would have been right in the playoff hunt. Same script the last 3 years.
