...I'm finally starting to believe he's not the answer at quarterback. Yes, his receivers were awful today, one of their worst performances ever. Yes, the o-line was putrid. But Cam cannot get rid of the ball to save his life. He's always good for at least a couple Clausenesque throws a game, has to lead the league in his career in most picks dropped by defenders because of his rocket arm.

 

I was the one that posted the first big thread about how I wanted Cam before the draft, the first credible poster to do so. And now I'm saying it: Dave Gettleman should not extend Cam's contract and let him go after it expires. I don't see it working here.

 

Oh yeah and fug Ron Rivera. That is all.

He's constantly missing. I know he's Batman to a lot of people and will be for a long time after 2011. But he's absolutely not within spitting distance of being a good quarterback anymore.

Teams lose because of all around bad play in most phases. As the QB when you throw crucial interceptions you will get some blame.

Btw, I disagree on Cam. I can't see any QB doing better than what he did with this OL today with his top 2 receivers dropping passes for TDs and first downs

Don't agree. We're not letting him play to his strengths and that is coaching.

Did he make mistakes? Yes.

But the only questions i really have about him right now is how much autonomy the coaches are giving him... I don't think he's allowed to audible at all and I don't think they prefer him to make multiple reads. That leads me to question whether it is because he can't do it well or they just won't let him.
