I hear mixed things about Vikings tailgating. I love going to other stadiums, so here's my tips:

1. Most important, drink socially but do not get drunk. Don't get buzzed if you can help it. A few people are going to try and bait you and you just have to smile and disarm them.

2. Make sure people know you traveled to support your team. Most people can respect that.

3. Cheer for your team. No need to stand up on Defense every play, it's not helping the team and just annoying people around you. When its 3rd down, cheering loud should be fine, although you will still get some lip about it.

4. Never lower yourself to the drunk guys argument. Make sure you take the time to say hi to the people around you and be friendly so when that douche starts trying to call you out, you might get support from the other teams fans around you.

5. Tell people how much you like Adrian Petersen and that old Purple People Eater defense. And that you hate the Packers.

6. Win or lose, enjoy the experience.

1. Tell them that a true Minnesotan would know the names of at least 5,000 of their 10,000 lakes or so. Give them 5 minutes to name as many as they can.

2. Ask them who the idiot was that designed the dome. After all, doesn't everyone know it snows in Minnesota and how do they not know the roof probably shouldn't collapse when it does snow.

3. Remind them that Duante Culpepper's career essentially ended in Carolina one Sunday afternoon in 2005 when his LCL, MCL and ACL in one knee were shredded. The line, "I was there for that..." will always win you friends.

We have lower level seats too. Just dont know where. This trip is through the Panthers. Charter flight. Open bar tailgate. Come back sunday night. Should be with a large group of our fans.

I did something like that in 2007 for the season opener, won a charity bid for a charter trip with a lot of the team sponsors though, not a fan trip - to St Louis. Great time, the charter flight was great, the flight attendants were serving free alcohol and snacks en route, there was a bus waiting for us at the ramp..have a blast and take some pictures to share!

    • Ron's two seasons he took to figure it out would be massive successes compared to the 2018-Present period. Those 6 and 7 win seasons look pretty great now.  Do you honestly think he will jump up to a 10+ win year in 2026? That's what Ron did.
    • I disagree, a lot of people on here have said their opinions on signees, draftees, coaching hires, who to play etc and have made better decisions than the front office. Not saying they could run a team, but they seem to be better armchair GMs than our current regime the last 6 years.
    • You might want to look at that table again.  Round 2 has the least QB's taken in that time period. What is more interesting is how the "darts at a dart board" happens in the 6th and 7th round. Those are the 2nd and 3rd most frequently drafted rounds for NFL QB's.  If you are strictly using my criteria for "success" it does lend credence to that not being an awful strategy. At 17-21% chance to get a bare minimum of 30+ starts OR a 5+ year career. That's pretty good for a very throwaway pick. I don't know how that would compare to other positions. I would maybe have to adapt what I have done to something like PFR's Career AV to set a line that accomplished roughly the same result as I have from the spreadsheet. If I can get to a number value, applying this to each position wouldn't be that hard. Not sure how "fair" that is without making some adjustment based on averages for each position. I would have to do that as well, I think. A positional "handicap" of sorts.
