Says the *@#* was trying to sell Geno Smith over Cam Newton last week, based off one game. And if you would have watched enough Jet games, you would have known Geno Smith sucked (or at best, wasn't there yet) SMH

 

The bottom line is, anyone that watches or knows football (as Zod illustrated earlier in this thread, speaking about line play and play calling) knows Cam is the real deal, and that many times his fortunes are determined by his team and coaching. 

 

So many of you, seem to miss that; which is why many are declared "haters". 

 

It's a fairness, perspective issue. Just show/have some!!

I watch a lot of these Football shows and all you hear is, the QB cannot do it alone. Even with Vets and so called Elite QBs, you heat the Talk Heads saying how much the Offenivee and Defensive part of a team needs to show up to help the QB.

Dont' understand why it's any different with Cam.

A elite quarterback one game does not make. Nor a bad one.

 

Remember, combined wins of the teams he's beat this year...... 1. I'M SO IMPRESSED.

They put up the stat again today, more yards than anyone in NFL History through 36 games.  24 years old.  Wouldn't trade Cam for anyone in the NFL at any position right now. 

 

but bro if we tank for picks and trade cam we can be sure that teddy bridgewater or johnny football will do this also

My count on the season thus far.  2 great games from the QB spot... coincided with two great team games, Minn, NY.

 

Two games where the QB played well enough to win, both games were blown by breakdowns, not by QB, Buff, Sea.

 

1 game where the QB played terrible, as well as the entire team, AZ.

 

Could/should easily have a 4-1 record, it's a shame that some are so simple and can't objectively analyze performances and the variables that factor into winning and losing.

Other individuals are constantly pointed out as well...Bell...Lafell...but some of you only cry about Cam...Why's that?

I've talked about how bad Bell is for months. I don't think anyone hate hasn't, actually. Same goes for LaFell, and Scott, and JStew, et all. Yet, everyone freaks out when something bad is said about Cam.

Cam also.played great today just taking what the defense gave him. I don't think he forced more than maybe two throws all game and one if those was batted down.

He is at his best when he tries to do less, not more. He is still learning. He still has an amazingly high ceiling.

But he will still have more poo games this season. We still have to win those

 

It comes to me that Cam is not only focused on the defense of another team but his own team. Unlike the rest of the team, he, like the other QBs, play both Offfensively and Defensively. He presses when his team isn't doing so well and steps off the gas when they do.

 

Something many of u fail to see.

Good point. It's as if Cam is in his own world of criticism by both some Panther fans and haters. 

 

Even sometimes announcers, will not give him the immediate benefit of the doubt during something good, and are quick to blame him (instead of the line or WR) when something bad happens. It's just how they feel, are conditioned inside.

      Call me crazy but if you’re in the bottom 7 in efficiency using Zone 84% of the time why not try something else? You paid Jaycee top 5 CB money use him more effectively. Zone is only efficient if you can generate a good pass rush to force a QB into mistakes otherwise you will get picked apart

      Yeah, I could jump right into the unbelievable Bryce debate now that some people are trying to flip the script because Bryce Young has, at most, a handful of decent games as a pro, but that's going to work itself out. Suffice it to say that I've seen better QBs (with an s) in a Panthers uniform, and I've certainly seen better QBs be drafted while we're playing around with Bryce, one of them who beat the crap out of us already this season... Let's forget about Bryce (and his markedly underwhelming play since he's been here); I think that most sane fans will agree that drafting him was an error, but it happens. Sure, it doesn't happen to the tune of King's ransom---including your main receiver---but it happens. You bet, you lose. Speaking of receivers...and betting and losing... Oh, man, we drafted Xavier Legette. Yes, just like with Bryce, I've entered "the dark side." Some Huddlers were telling us from the beginning, and they were right. But, I'm not apologizing for waiting to see what a guy's got before making my decision on him. X was a one-year wonder at South Carolina who parlayed some really nice production that season, a great personality and thick country accent, into becoming a first round pick (but only in Carolina). For Dan Morgan and company, He was a big swing that has turned into a big whiff (and I can still feel the ill breeze from that one). Sh¡t happens, right? Well, not so fast. Ladd McConkey was the decidedly more polished receiver who was literally ready to hit the ground running as soon as stepping onto the field as a pro. Ladd was never the biggest guy (though not the smallest), but he was the guy that could run routes, always seemed to get open---no question---and had the same speed as X, but with legit quickness and nuanced shake and bake. But Dan chose the project. He chose the guy where the game speed looks more like a tractor trailer than a 5.0 mustang. Look, I've supported X (just like Bryce) many many a day, but no more. Now I'm not saying that I won't root for the guy. Just like with Bryce, he seems like a great kid. But as far as giving excuses for the kid, and, perhaps more importantly, waiting for some miraculous breakout, I'm done with that. I've seen enough. You don't draft a project for a project. And yes, Bryce had proven to be a project after his first season. In my mind, drafting a supposedly number one receiver that needs lots of development for a starting quarterback that needs immediate help to try and further his development is not going to lead to good things. Pick the surest guy. Or at least pick the one who appears to be the surest guy, because picking can be tricky... especially when you're too busy tricking yourself.
